Trayvon Martin's dad speaks about son in NY
WFTV.com ^ | April 24,2014 | Associated Press

Posted on 04/24/2014 10:06:43 AM PDT by Q-ManRN

According to Newsday, Martin said he would like to see his son's name "in the history books of modern days, taking his place beside Emmett Till."

Martin's son was fatally shot by neighborhood watch volunteer George Zimmerman, who later was acquitted of second-degree murder under Florida's "stand your ground" law.

Notice how the Associated Press continues to maintain that George Zimmerman was acquitted using stand your ground laws. It makes no difference that Zimmerman's legal defense team and numerous legal commentators have pointed out repeatedly that Zimmerman was acquitted using a legal argument based upon a standard self-defense laws, not the stand your ground doctrine.

I just heard this same article quoted verbatim on the news on the radio while listening to Rush Limbaugh.

Regressives and their press just keep repeating the same lies because they know if they keep repeating the lies the less informed will treat that information as factual. If you find that tactic hard to believe, just consider the so-called "Nation of Palestine" which never existed.

Was Emmitt Till also a thug who got shot while attacking an innocent man?

According to Newsday, Martin said he would like to see his son's name "in the history books of modern days, taking his place beside Emmett Till."

It's a shame Papa Martin wasn't interested in his son when Sweet Little Trayvon was alive. Attentive parenting could have saved that kid's life. As it is, Trayvon belongs in the history books as a footnote below other petty thugs who never even succeeded as criminals beyond the minimum needed to pay for cheap drugs.

Yes, I agree. However, there is even a more fundamental word parsing going on here in some circles.

They continually use the term ‘acquitted’ as if he was let off on some technicality. His jury judged him “NOT GUILTY”, and while not guilty is legally an acquittal, people can be acquitted for other things, too besides a jury saying Not Guilty. To me it is a deliberate attempt to dilute the fact that jurors heard the evidence and judged him not guilty.

Associated Press is headed for the dustbin of history. They have been reliably “progressive” forever.

Some say that they were the start and are the heart of the “progressive” old media.

stand your ground was a tort reform issue in this case. Due to his sons criminal act, there can be no civil suit.

THAT is where the complaining comes from.

no shakedown.

no jackpot

no money.

If George Zimmerman hadn’t killed Trayvon, most likely someone else would have. Possibly a member of Trayvon’s race.

I’m sure after getting his son some sort of monument, Martin will try to obtain monuments for the hundreds of white people murdered by the Black Klan every year.

He might go down in history next to Justin Bieber:

JUSTIN BIEBER — THE DAY THE SIZZURP DIED

Main Ingredient Yanked

Party’s over for Justin Bieber, Soulja Boy and a bunch of hip hop stars who love sizzurp — aka lean, aka codeine cough syrup — because their brand of choice is getting pulled from pharmacies.

But before JB cries in his double-cup, he should know ... this whole mess is probably his fault.

“It’s a shame Papa Martin wasn’t interested in his son when Sweet Little Trayvon was alive”. Exactly. If he had been as passionate about raising his alive son as he is in promoting his dead son maybe this story would have never happened. He needs to just stop the foolish talk.

Well I would like to see Channon Christian and Christopher Newsome take their places in the history books along with Emmett Till. Their “crime”? Being the wrong color while crossing the path of some black sociopaths who tortured them before murdering them-allowing Channon to die a slow agonising death as they sat down to eat breakfast.

Or 12 yo Johnothan Foster, killed by a black woman using a blowtorch, for the “crime” of being a young white boy.

The 11,000 “lost” unprocessed rape kits recently “discovered” in Detroit might also be worth a mention. If it were possible now to process them all now, the results might be very interesting.

There might even be a few more 80, 90 something yo elderly white women amongst the victims.

But sure, let’s make a wanna-be gangsta who tried his damndest to murder a man only to have the tables turned when the man defended his life, a “civil rights martyr”. He actually just about fits with the rest of the pantheon anyway.

I made the mistake of recently mentioning Zimmerman to a black coworker who often carries when in bad neighborhoods. The lack of fair, unbiased rational thought is stunning and disgusting.

I asked him what he would do if he had a teenager on him who was beating his head into the ground. It didn’t matter at that point. The conversation was over and he shut off after saying some worshipful words about the child Trayvon.
