Public Trust: Sixty-one percent polled say President Obama lies "some of the time" or "most of the time" on matters of national importance. Americans have to ask: Why do we let him get away with it?
It's no surprise that a Fox News poll of 1,012 registered voters last week found immense distrust of a president whose main domestic initiative was based on a lie. The shock is that the same poll found his disapproval level down to its lowest since last fall.
Asked, "How often do you think Barack Obama lies to the country on important matters?" 37% replied "most of the time" while 24% answered "some of the time." Twenty percent said, "Only now and then." [snip]
But this latest Fox poll found that Obama's approval fell to 51% from the 53%-55% range of Fox's seven previous polls. You have to go back to early October 2013, when it was 49%, to find approval of Obama lower.

Why does a nation tolerate a liar as President? Easy, the people whose ancestors founded and ran the country for centuries have abdicated their right to govern. Why did they abdicate their right to govern? Well, they came to believe that eating, drinking, drugging, copulating, evacuating the bowels, snoring and attending the games was better than attending to the details of tiresome old governance.

Because there’s no respect. He doesn’t respect the populace and they sure don’t respect him. Which doesn’t keep them from standing (or kneeling) at the trough.
Way off. Fox News most recent poll has him at 42% approval. He was at 38% in early March and in October 2013 he fluctuated between 40-45%. IBD should do a correction.
I will not dispute that. It is blunt truth.
The nation has been tolerating liars as President for a lot longer than just since 2009, or even 1993. For one of the most prolific of liars, we need only go to Uncle Cornpone, Elbee Jay. Even before Nixon, he was honing the art of lying to its highest degree of execution, and a lot of it had to do with how he succeeded to the Presidency in the first place. Even today nobody is sure of the series of events that led up to the assassination of JFK, but I have never believed it was coincidence that it happened in Texas and the person generally assumed to have been the sniper was a failed turncoat Marine.
But this is about the Current Occupant, and how badly his lies are turning out for him. He is probably, like Richard Nixon, very close to a mental break as the end approaches, and has proven himself totally inadequate to the task of being an administrator of ANYTHING, let alone the governance of this territory formerly known as “the United States of America”.
Using a couple of borderline lib friends as an example, the TV has them convinced that no matter how much Obama lies, it would be FAR worse under Romney, or McCain.
And they would have to listen to Sarah Palin’s constant screeching.
And then, they add, “why do you hate poor people getting healthcare?”
Obama is good looking and charming, and to many voters, those things are more important than honesty and integrity. During the Kennedy/Nixon debates of 1960, people who saw them on TV preferred Kennedy, while people who heard them on the radio preferred Nixon. Obama is like a good looking rock star who lip synchs at all his concerts because he can’t actually sing.
Why tolerate a liar?
Because he’s lying to get them free stuff.
Because he bribes them with money stolen from us.
Because of his skin color!
Tell me what we can do about it and I’m in.
The Founding States made the federal Constitution to deliberately limit (cripple) the federal government's powers so that the federal government wouldn't become a tyrant.
But what good are our constitutional protections against tyrants when parents don't make sure that their children are taught the federal government's constitutionally limited powers?
So what?...a majority of adults still approve of his job as president. Which means this country is screwed.
That is a huge and knowing lack of character among those most required to possess it.
It’s politics. Politicians lie and people expect it.
Because they have been taught to expect nothing more.
Government schools are child abuse.
Because they lie too. They expect to be lied to. It is what politicians do.
Many are scared to speak out.
