Breitbart News and others have chronicled the "Unmatched failure" that Cover Oregon has now officially become. As was pointed out on March 20 of this year, "The Oregon Obamacare exchange has received $305 million in taxpayer-funded federal grants, spent $160 million on its busted website, dropped $10 million on hipster promotional ads, erroneously enrolled 4,000 illegal immigrants in full Oregon Health Plan coverage contrary to federal law, and has not enrolled a single Oregonian online."
Oregon was even given "a $48 million "early innovator" grant for states whose exchanges were intended to serve as models for the nation." While the money was spent, clearly, that promised was never fulfilled.
State officials may finally be coming to grips with the idea that they have failed completely. It looks like the exchange will be closed down and turned over to the feds. Perhaps fittingly, the White House's favorite exchange will be turned over to the White House.

Follow the money on this one. A crony firm incapable of writing the software diddled around. Most of the money was wasted on salaries for work that will be tossed, but a significant fraction went to political pals of those in power who owned the companies and didn’t give a crap if the project succeeded or failed as long as they were guaranteed a good skim off the top of the funds.
Every republican running for Congress should pledge to repeal Obamacare. If they can’t win on that alone then this Republic is finished.

Both sides know this. It was part of the initial Democrat calculation. Overturning will require Republican control of the White House and Congress.
Considering that the Democrats control the media, it was a good bet. An evil bet. But astute, nonetheless.

I think the state exchanges are designed to fail.
The states establish an exchange but discover that they cannot afford them long term. Then they turn to Uncle Sugar to bail them out. That will create the single payer system that the rulers wanted in the first place.
Obamacare is just the pathway to govt paid healthcare.
Then they can decide who lives and dies.
This is taxpayer money, this is not real money, it’s like pretend. Elected officials and apparatchiks will not be held accountable for the gross malfeasance in their fiduciary responsibility. This is crony capitalism at at it’s worst.
Oregon’s population is around 3 million. So that works out to about 100 dollars per resident. Insane.
It should be clear to you now that Republicans don’t want to repeal Obamacare.
