Rep. Joe Barton said Friday he was close to introducing a sweeping proposal that would overhaul the nation’s immigration system.

The plan will include a path to citizenship for undocumented children and a mechanism to give legal status to adults in the country illegally who have not committed other crimes.

Barton, R-Arlington, said his bill would be ready in a month to six weeks.

Barton had come out for amnesty back in March at the Conversations with Conservatives. Claims he can just legalize them. I guess we won't have millions more crossing the border if we make them wait to officially vote until 2016 or 2020.

Legalization is amnesty. These Texas, CA, and FL Rep politicians see the rapid demographic changes and want to hold on to their jobs even if it means the eventual destruction of the country.

Wiki says Barton is a member of the Tea Party caucus. And he’s for amnesty?

and if this damn fool bastard is dumb enough to think that he’ll get a freaking vote from a former illegal after passing amnesty then he’s probably too stupid to know how to breathe on his own

What is it with these politicians?

They must lay awake at night dreaming up new schemes to give taxpayer money away.

Illegals seem to have excellent representation in congress and the senate.

It’s too bad that we legal citizens don’t have the same level of representation to protect our rights.

Do those things and illegal aliens will deport themselves and pay for the trip.

Until those things are done I will support no other measures. Period!

There aren’t enough adult legal Hispanics yet to vote to bring gun control to Texas. That is still 10, 20 or 30 years away assuming no amnesty.

“I think there is a middle ground. It’s not a citizenship path, but it is a legalization path,” Barton said, adding that “the overwhelming majority of the Hispanics in Texas are either there because they were born there or they’ve come there to work and they are working and they’re positive, productive citizens.”

BS. California was 90% white in 1940. I dont know what Texas was but most these Hispanics in Texas arrived after Ted Kennedy’s 1965 immigration bill. To suggest that all these people had a border jump across them is what La Raza suggests.

In 1940, the Census Bureau reported California’s population as 6.0% Hispanic, 2.4% Asian, and 89.5% non-Hispanic white

In 2014 here’s what we have.

Liberal Marxist Socialists == Democrats.

GOPe/RINOs/Establishment Repubs == Moderate Democrats (meaning their job is to slam Republicans to cave towards the democrat desires and wants on issues)

Anyone left not playing ball with Socialists or their Moderate Apologists == Evil Conservatives, aka the Reason For Everything Wrong in the Country Today

This guy is NO TEA Party Rep. He’s a career politician (been in office since 1985) and needs not just his butt kicked...but needs to be kicked off of the TP Caucus, NOW!

“to give legal status to adults in the country illegally who have not committed other crimes.”

Until a judge gives them full citizenship 5 minutes later.

Ken Marchant’s district is almost identical.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Texas%27s_24th_congressional_district

“The Republican primary voters, they’re being pretty vocal with me on this subject.” Besides, he said, “if you give the legal right to vote to 10 Hispanics in my district, seven to eight of them are going to vote Democrat.”

Many colleagues concur.

“My district is not in favor of creating a system where people who committed a crime can jump in front of those who have tried to come here based on the law,” said Rep. Walter Jones, R-N.C., describing what he fears the Senate will pass.

He was primaried by Frank Kuchar who was attacking him on immigration. I don’t know how much money he had. As good as Ralph Hall is, I hope his self-deport opponent is somone they need in the delegation.

John Ratcliffe 28.8% 18,891”

“Joe Barton Incumbent 72.7% 32,579
Frank Kuchar 27.3% 12,260”

Rand Paul found that out the hard way.
And he’ll find it out again if he runs on the position. He tried to reach out to some hispanic group the other day, and after the dust settled they were “deeply offended.”
I suppose they were offended that a non-Democrat thought he might be able to speak with them; and still, he and others will continue to toady to the foreign lawbreakers.
I suppose it’s too much to expect from our legislators that they might attempt to faithfully defend the nation’s laws as well as look out for America’s best interests. Our executive branch sure isn’t adhering to his oath. But we expect lawlessness from Democrats.
That’s the legislative goal and public policy behind the immigration and naturalization laws (from `86, the last time the government said, “Just this once!”) that’s why they were written: not to effect `social justice’ for Mexico’s citizenry overflow (10% of Mexico is in this country now) but what do immigrants have to offer us, other than increasing demands?
Furthermore, if this is the way they enforce old law, why would we expect them to enforce `new and improved’ immigration law any better?
All they want is amnesty, then it’s a dozen new `safe houses’ for each one operating now.
This is critical to keep in mind: When the amnesty shills say “comprehensive immigration reform” or “immigration reform” keep foremost in mind that all they want is amnesty and goodies from Uncle Sugar. Any accompanying laws/`sops’ will be given the same respect that current law is accorded. None.
In sum, our current government is lawless when it comes to protecting the American middle class.
