Kiev, Ukraine (CNN) -- A perilous face-off intensified Saturday when Russia state news complained that Ukraine had mobilized 15,000 troops in the suburbs of Slavyansk in eastern Ukraine "in order to wipe out the city and its residents."

Quoting a Russian Defense Ministry source, RIA Novosti said satellite photos showed the force forming around the city that has become a friction point between the Ukraine military and pro-Russian militants.

The Defense Ministry source said the number of Ukraine troops put the pro-Russian militants at a disadvantage because the latter are "armed only with small amount of pistols and shotguns." Many eastern Ukraine residents have Russian roots and sympathize with Moscow.

“An anecdote from a Kremlin apologist does not trump actual polling data wherein people are asked their opinions”

Opinion Polls, in a locked down city, at odds with the government, with internet largely shut down. People will really tell strangers their opinions in that circumstance!
Yeahhhhhhh,,, no skew to THAT poll!

“but but,,, the polls clearly say,,,”
THAT is your proof?

The polls I am referring to have been made over several years, with the most recent being in February or March.

THAT is your proof?

Yes, a long line of consistent polling results is positive proof. If you don't believe me, then advocate for the Russian GRU to stop renting mobs and to allow for peaceful voting to occur in May as already planned by the democratically elected government of Ukraine.

Don't worry, there is a special place in hell for traitors to their country and apologists of evil.

He had in Syria, and if it is true that USAID, the US State Department, Omidyar, and Soro’s Renaissance spent tons of money destabilizing Ukraine, just like in Tunisia,Egypt, Libya, and tried in Syria, then he has it here, as well.

Has the Obama regime ever been on the good side of any fight? or even on the least evil side in any fight?

Can't think for yourself?

You have to check first with somebody else and then think the opposite?

Anyway, this isn't about Obama. This is about Russia trying to annex part of Ukraine and this is about parts of Ukraine not wanting to be annexed by Russia.

So just because Obama destabilized Syria, Egypt and Libya it means that Obama destabilized Ukraine?

Of course not.

Syria, Egypt and Libya all had Obama's Muslim Brotherhood in common. Ukraine has no MB side. Ukraine, like Georgia have a history of revolutions before Obama was president. Remember the Rose revolution. Remember the Orange revolution.

What happened in Kiev this time similar to the Rose and Orange revolution have nothing to do with Obungo.

A real American does not use leftist methods to benefit the reds and demonize the United States. I refer to your relativism, emotionalism, and inability to respond to facts.

There are more Neo Nazis in Russia than there are in Ukraine. Most countries have them.

Most Ukrainians like most people in other countries despise Nazis. Putin uses the Neo Nazi boogyman like some in this country use the racist boogyman.

It's all propaganda.

Remembering what happened when Obama suddenly demanded an attack on Syria is very important to understanding what is going on now in Ukraine, IMHO.

Remember, this isn’t just about some incredibly corrupt, incredibly broke, almost balkanized country, there are far bigger geo-political energy games at play here, as well.

Namely the Russian’s Poland/Ukraine bypass to Europe, the South Stream Project vs. the Saudi-Supported pipeline through Syria that would bring Saudi gas to Europe.

Friday, the Bulgarians announced they were supporting South Stream, over the Saudi project.

This will not end well...here are the possibilities I see.

1-Russia takes control in all of east Ukraine with little opposition.

2-Russia takes control in all of east Ukraine, the US and EU hit Russia with serious and painful sanctions. Russia retaliates in kind and the result is the end of the Petrodollar and the end of the US dollar as the world’s reserve currency. This results in economic disaster as the dollar collapses and inflation runs wild. Russia dramatically increases the cost of gas to EU countries, they will buy the more expensive gas...Russia makes more money and humiliates the west at the same time. The EU should not have bent to the will of the Greenies..they could have their own gas and not be over a barrel.

3-Russia faces external forces in the Ukraine conflict, either NATO or US forces directly of as a result of an influx of sophisticated western military weaponry. Russia hits western interests economically and or militarily, either might well escalate to a nuclear conflict.

4- Russia backs down and Ukraine joins the EU and eventually NATO. This option will not happen because Russia will not back down on Ukraine.

Scenario 1,2 or 3 will come to pass... there is no other possible outcome.

No one here would find it acceptable if the Russia put missiles in Tijuana and stationed troops there.

Russia does have nuclear weapons and the US/EU is backing them into a corner. It looks like some people in the deep state for whatever reason want a world war. It won’t stop with Russia, it will engulf China and Iran.

And the era of US dominance will be over.

One thing, Russians can bear a lot of pain. The West, not so much. The U.S., for Ukraine, nothing.

War is just politics. It’s NOT the best military that wins, its the side who can sustain domestic support the longest.

Ukraine, as former KGB Colonel, gangster statesman, President for Life, and world’s richest man, has no right to self-defense. And, he, Putin can send his army to attack a peaceful nation just because it’s weaker and there are Russian speakers there doing the Geo-political strategic proxies victim dance that the Nazis did in the Sudetenland.

How about yea, we don’t really care. What’s Ukraine to us? Heck, give them Afghanistan too.

And while the worlds not looking, lets take a bit Mexico and expand Florida a bit.

The Russian propaganda machine may equate any blockade to the Nazi’s in Warsaw. Using that as an excuse to invade.
