Top 25 Most Dangerous Neighborhoods in America
neighborhoodscout.com ^

Posted on 04/27/2014 5:16:35 AM PDT by ilovesarah2012

Even the most dangerous cities in America can have relatively safe neighborhoods, as there is more variation in crime within most cities than between cities. But using exclusive data developed by NeighborhoodScout, and based on FBI data from all 17,000 local law enforcement agencies in America, we here report those specific neighborhoods in America that have the highest predicted rates of violent crime per 1,000 neighborhood residents of all. Violent crimes include murder, forcible rape, armed robbery, and aggravated assault. These neighborhoods are the epicenters of violence in America, where social issues are likely to ignite into violence and spread. See our FAQ on how we rank the most dangerous neighborhoods

Click on any neighborhood name below to view the neighborhood map and full profile.

Rank Neighborhood Violent Crime Rate (per 1,000) My Chances of Becoming a Victim Here (in one year) 25 Baton Rouge, LA (N Lobdell Ave / Harry Dr) 68.96 1 in 15 24 Chicago, IL (S Pulaski Rd / W Lexington St) 71.55 1 in 14 23 St. Louis, MO (Clara Ave / Saint Louis Ave) 72.09 1 in 14 22 Washington, DC (Atlantic St SE / 4th St SE) 72.65 1 in 14 21 Saginaw, MI (Lapeer Ave / E Genesee Ave) 73.17 1 in 14 20 Chicago, IL (S Indiana Ave / E 60th St) 75.18 1 in 13

Guess to keep it from being on the top of the list.

Kind of like all the euphemisms for salt and sugar that keep them off the top of the ingredients lists on packaging.

Hide the truth. That is what is practised. Whether by design or by method.

Omaha, NE N. Ames Ave and 24th St. 76.5 1 IN 13 of becoming a victim.

There is a huge concentration of dilapidated welfare housing complexes there on both sides of this 4 lane street that runs for 5-6 blocks. Ames Ave is a major thoroughfare in Omaha. It has been very dangerous driving through there during the day since I can remember.

“Is there a common link to these neighborhoods?”

A question that has no need to be asked.

However, I look at it differently - what they have in common is that the people who live there, and their forefathers (uh...so to speak), have been extensively “helped” by Liberal thinking for the last 50 years.

My dad grew up very close to one of those Chicongo neighborhoods, not too far from what is now the Malcom X College. It’s changed a bit since he was there, though.

Yea, the statistics are a bit odd.

If I have a 50x50 mile area that has one murder, but a population only 200 people, it will indicate a very high murder rate per 1,000. But you have to ask, is there anything special about that area that made that one murder more likely? If not, its just an anomaly.

Also, if I have 5 apartment complexes, full of equally dangerous people, that share a common park, and most crime is in that park. Grouping one complex with the park will show it to be more dangerous, but it isn't. In fact, it may not even be the park that is dangerous. In the case of the area in Jacksonville, the murders involved people coming into the area to deal in crime and fight each other. You weren't likely to be threatened by that, if you weren't involved with it.

I would like to see someone post the ethnic, racial, political demographics for each of these places.

We have a consistent profile of the social underclass culture. Idle hands are the Devil’s Tool.

I am guessing I know what the profile looks like, but if someone has the data on each of these neighborhoods pleas post it.

I would say each neighborhood needs to be leveled and the residence dispersed over a broad area to break up the criminal element.

Like Cancer its sometimes necessary to remove the bad growth

Is there a common link to these neighborhoods?

Yes, of course there is: they are homes to functionally-illiterate, drug-addled, third-generation government dependents from fatherless and faithless families.

50 years of Progressive social policy created these nightmares, by replacing the values and virtues of Western civilization with the rules of the jungle and the smothering embrace of the State.

But say that out loud, and a cacophony of manufactured outrage will envelop you with false charges of racism and bigotry, promoted especially by rich liberals in their cloistered communities, walled off from the reality that advances on them daily.
