Every other week in the LA Crimes biz section there is an ad announcing some award Sterling has received or some award dinner he will be the honoree at. Today there was one.
He pays for the ads.
He owns every other high rise apartment/condo building west of downtown LA and he does spread some $$$$ around the community, but he’s very self-aggrandizing.
As far as I know he is still married to Shelly. The tape was done by his ex-girlfriend. Can’t tell the players without a scorecard.
He has held the clippers back forever and now his story is dominating their first round of the playoffs.
Interesting to see how they do today. perhaps the experience of Rivers and Paul can get them past this.
They are attacking Donald Sterling for something he said in a private conversation regarding his business model and the customers he would like to attract to his private business.
With both his private life and confidential business strategy violated, the NAACP, Obama and maybe even his direct competition at the LA Lakers will use this illegally obtained information to destroy Sterling’s stake in the business he built.
I think his ads keep The los Angeles Times alive.

Blacks have no clue how liberal elites feel about them - but here's a hint. Robert Byrd was the only KKK 'officer' what headed the Senate in modern times. Democrat is whole stinkin' life. And the Washington Post and New York Times knew about him and his past and they covered for him.

I think he’s an old man with a young black girlfriend, and he’s probably insecure about her being out and about with athletic younger black guys, and when it came to pro sports it bothered him more because those guys are known to be with lots of women.
This may or may not have a racial component, it’s hard to say. He is particularly bothered by black men.
Note from the first video he seemed to be upset of her public appearances with these guys. He explicitly didn’t care if she privately got intimate with them.
I think that’s the key to this: he found her being photographed with young, athletic studs insulting and diminishing. The idea that an old man like him could be cuckolded publicly angered him. All the money in the world won’t stop his out of control girlfriend from bedding other guys.
I have no idea if she was actually intimate with these other guys. Neither did the old man, but I think that’s the bee in his bonnet.
He could have avoided all this by just using call girls, or at the very least finding an attractive, more mature black woman. Tommy Sotomayor warns constantly of what a hood rat is capable of, and this reads like a hood rat setting out to destroy a man with vengeance in her eye,
Sharpton deserves an award for that in spades.
Maybe Sterling should have just financed the Olympic Curling teams instead.
