Deadspin has posted a longer version of the Donald Sterling tape. It includes lots more racism.
Late Friday, TMZ released its nine-minute recording of a man alleged to be Clippers owner Donald Sterling making racist comments to his girlfriend about her being seen with black people. Deadspin has acquired and posted a longer recording of that same conversation -- a 15-minute tour through the mind of a horribly racist NBA team owner.
Deadspin has also included a transcript that's well worth digesting. It's all so bad that finding the worst bit is difficult. But this is a primary candidate, at least as it relates to the NBA:
[Girlfriend]: Do you know that you have a whole team that's black, that plays for you?
[Sterling]: You just, do I know? I support them and give them food, and clothes, and cars, and houses. Who gives it to them? Does someone else give it to them? Do I know that I have-Who makes the game? Do I make the game, or do they make the game? Is there 30 owners, that created the league?

The discussion between Sterling and his girlfriend also turns international, and Sterling defends his treatment of minorities based on how black Jews are treated in Israel. (Sterling is Jewish.) The Holocaust is also discussed, as well as whether Matt Kemp is light-skinned enough to appear on the girlfriend's Instagram account.
NBA commissioner Adam Silver promised a speedy investigation on Saturday. The existence of a second tape from a second source might speed that up.
He's done nothing illegal.
Typically, they will organize a boycott or intimidate a customer into ruining the target's business.
This guy owns an NBA team and about a thousand rental properties.
Rent strikes don't work, and there is no other professional basketball league to patronize.
A lot less leverage than normal here.
Not show up for games and violate their contracts?
Play terrible games and lose TV ad revenue for themselves as well as the Clippers?
The only option would be a lockout to oust Sterling, which no owner would permit.

For reasons I have never completely understood, the NBA Commissioner has near infinite power. All he’s got to say is that this hurts the NBA, and the guy has got to go.
I wish the media would spend a little more time on what actually happened:
A geriatric millionaire splits with his wife and shacks up with a hip hop girl a third of his age...she allegedly steals a ton of money from him...he sues...she calls him and drags on a long conversation with him, fishing and prying to get him to show his true racist colors.
There is a lot of bad behavior going on, by both parties...a lot of which is really a lot more important that mulling on why an 80 year old man is a racist.
Oh well.
Here’s the part I don’t get. How in the hell was this guy up for a lifetime achievement award from the NAACP? I mean really, what NAACP qualifications did he satisfy in order to receive such an award (other than being a Democrat donor)?

The MSM always gives a free pass to blacks who commit crimes..they commit crimes against blacks all the time and you never see the suspect’s face and whenever that happens I always know why..meanwhile, Sterling went on a rant against Jews too, kind of ironic since he is himself Jewish, but like all liberal Jews, they despise Israel more than the arabs
