Eric Cantor confronts Republican infighting
Politico ^ | April 27, 2014 | JAKE SHERMAN

House Majority Leader Eric Cantor is a rising star in national politics, but here at home, he’s at the center of a battle with fellow Republicans.

His allies are maneuvering to pack leadership slots at the Republican Party of Virginia with like-minded figures — a move they hope will bring stability to a party with little money and lots of infighting.

That’s infuriated some local conservatives, who feel they are being squeezed out of positions of power and aren’t going down without a fight. They are rallying behind insurgent primary challenger Dave Brat, an economics professor with just $40,000 in the bank — compared to Cantor’s $2 million.

Anne Coulter once claimed Tea Party is a financial scam. She meant they were good at collecting donations but have nothing to show for. I am looking at all the TP candidates in the primaries, one thing sticks out, most of them have very little money. Tea Party endorses them but sends them very little money. Hey I give and many conservatives give money to various TP groups, what are they doing with most of the money. The people in charge helping themselves to it??!!!

Anne Coulter once claimed to be a conservative but seems to have a moderate fixation.

What type of primary does Cantor face.

Is is the same as what Comstock just went through?

Cuccinelli should endorse Brat as payback not to Cantor but to Priebus and the RNC.

They spend some of it on training volunteers to make calls.

I think the latest SCOTUS decision is good to stop people wasting money on some of the front groups. Just donate directly to each candidate and as many candidates instead of the front groups.

The Republican Party wonders why it has little money? Could it be because:

1) They have no coherfent message
2) They have alienated their base?

When your party stands against a united far left Democrat Party with the backing of corporatists and betrays its base, this is what you’re left with.

The fault lies clearly with the Republican leadership, which is clearly rudderless now. Why men like McConnell lead when we have men like Jim Sessions is beyond me.

I still think Mitt Romney will run again and give her something to be excited about.

When Terri Land stepped down from her RNC seat to run for the senate, Romney’s niece was appointed to replace her.
