Donald Sterling was a modest donor to several Democratic politicians, long before racist remarks were attributed to the owner of the NBA’s Los Angeles Clippers. Sterling donated a combined of $4,000 to Democratic Sens. Bill Bradley of New Jersey and Patrick Leahy of Vermont as well as then-State Controller Gray Davis of California in the late 1980s and early 1990s, according to a database on OpenSecrets.

What a misleading article. Everyone knows that racists are all conservative Republicans. The MSM has presented plenty of evidence to back that up.

Looks like Politico is trying to spin and minimize Sterling’s support of Democrats.
Sometimes I am pleasantly surprised by the brief moment of honesty in the MSM (okay, at least something almost close to the MSM)

After hearing the recording, he says he loves blacks and a lot of other things you wouldn’t expect a racist to say. TMZ found it necessary to just go with a few quick snippets of what was said.
It may be more that he just doesn’t like Magic Johnson. Who knows for sure but she was intentionally leading him into saying bad things.
He may be scum but so is she and TMZ for the way they ran the story.

Are you sure about that? He may not have AIDS, but that doens't mean he can't pass it on to someone else.
