Demonstrating once again that Israel remains a favorite whipping boy of the liberal media, there was John Heilemann of New York magazine on today's Morning Joe defending John Kerry's grotesque claim that Israel risked becoming an "apartheid state."
According to Heilemann, Kerry's ugly accusation was "not actually an unreasonable statement." To his credit, Joe Scarborough promptly riposted, saying "I couldn't disagree with you more."

I’ve never heard of John Heilemann. Not once - in my entire life - before today.
It doesn't have anything to do with him being a democrat. The issue breaks out along doctrine lines.
The NeoCon republicans and Liberal Interventionist democrats are strong supporters of Israel and would never say the A word.
The Realists(republicans and democrats such as Kerry) are often in the position of "twisting Israel's arm" or "holding Israel's feet to the fire"
The antiwar dems and isolationist republicans(like Ron Paul or Pat Buchanan) are most likely to openly criticize Israel.
As for the MSM, the US press doesn't cover this story because the Israel Lobby is very powerful. OTOH, the European press does cover the story and there is a huge amount of this on You Tube.
You haven't missed a thing.
Kerry is now not sure whether to say thank you, shut up or, his usual, a combination of both.
