The increasing rift between Latino and Asian Democrats over Latinos’ newly revived interest in gutting Proposition 209 took a funny twist in the Sacramento Bee. So much for the Rainbow Coalition — it turns out that one lawmaker thinks Asian-Americans are no longer “of color”:

Real Hispanics are white—these ‘tards better understand that. My wife is Cuban—very white and almost Celtic-looking. Her parents are direct descendants of Spanish & French colonists to the island. I am Hispanic (from Spain—that means real Hispanic). Mom is from Bilbao.

I get so confused when they start trying to take a hetrogenous group of people who all live south of the rio grande all the way to tierra del feugo and trying to cram them all into the PC group called “Hispanic”.....

Most are from Cuba and other Caribbean nations.

Ask George Zimmerman. The only time he is counted as non-white is when liberals write breathless articles about how whites will no longer be a majority.

Much asians culture demands are education, hard work and personal independence. Luis Alejo is a big fan of the so-called “leaders” who are working to destroy those things in African-American culture, and he, himself, wants to end those things in Latino culture.
And if the Asians won’t come around to his way of thinking, he wants no part of them.
They’re too busy working and running there kids to tutors and music lessons to care, ie preparing themselves and future generations for personal success. Ditto, Indians.
Asians’ natural allies are those who allow unlimited immigration into the US, for family reunification, and employment of fellow ethnics, and inexpensive labor, and block voting.
Conservatives who put their hopes in Asians are those who put their hopes in Latino family values.
Yep. And “Black Mexicans”, as well.
