Exactly. Obtaining a gun should be no more and no less complicated than voting. If one requires no ID, then so should the other.
To get this asinine ruling overturned, the next stop would be the US Court of Appeals for this circuit.
The district court decision probably invalidates the ID law for this election cycle. The wheels of justice turn very slowly when liberals so desire.
It hasn’t affected voting in Indiana. Why are other states creating their own versions of the law. It has already been found constitutional in Indiana.
California provides a way to get a state ID at the DMV.
I would suspect most states have something similar.

About 5 years ago when I use to live in New York city, the NY Post did a whole step by step series on how illegals get welfare and food stamps, and it was just absolutely unreal. What they do is they buy fake ID from this guy working out the back of a store, they even showed photos, I think it was like $500 for the ID. Then they show him going down to the welfare office, going through all the forms and using the fake ID with some dead persons SS# which you can get off the internet. And *poof* there he gets money and food stamps. And they can keep going back with new fake ID, so potentially you could have one illegal getting multiple payments. And what did the city do about it? Absolutely nothing.
If you don’t have any sort of law to back your decision up, then you should probably be removed from the bench.
