Spike Lee works for the NBA at SiriusXM. He sat front row during the announcement yesterday of the lifetime ban.
Let's examine his history of racist comments:
In Febuary Lee complained about the gentrification of Harlem in racial terms, telling an audience questioner who praised the changes in the neighborhood. “ Let me tell you right now, have you seen Fort Green park in the morning ? It's like the mother######g Westminter dog show,,,,,, When you see white mothers pushing their babies in strollers, three o'clock in the morning on 125th street, that must tell you something.”
After visiting South Africa in the early 90's Spike stated “ I seriously wanted to pick up a gun and shoot whites. The only way to resolve matters is by bloodshed.”
And he says this of interracial couples: “ I give interracial couples a look, Daggers. They get uncomfortable when they see me on the street.”
After the Trayvon Martin shooting, Spike Lee posted the address of George Zimmerman's parents on Twitter.
Spike Lee has starred in NBA commercials, and now stars on their radio station on Sirus XM and is apparently the perfect person for a front-row seat about punishing racism in the NBA.
Anyone here think Mr. Silvers will be asking Spike Lee to step down anytime soon ? Don't hold your breath.

Black People can say any number of dumb racist things and get away with it.
But us? We’re racist for even pointing out obvious things like this.

Yep, Spike Lee complains about gentrification.
He has said that he fears the loss of black culture or vibes of neighborhoods if too many whites start moving in.
Can you imagine the reaction, if any white person said they had concerns about blacks moving in, and changing the culture or vibe of the neighborhood?????
The rank hypocrisy of society, and the sports journalism community here in particular, on the issue of race make me wanna barf.

Sterling’s remarks were absurd, but were also made in the privacy of his own home.
Does anyone think that just maybe, some of these folks who are so offended and indignant, such as Barkely and Magic and others, might have made some racially insensitive remarks in the privacy of their homes, just hanging out with their closest pals?
Spike lee should also be banned from the NBA for life to the exact same reasons.
