Donald Sterling to Sue NBA for 1.7 Billion [satire]
buzz.io ^ | April 30, 2014

Sterling’s legal team said, “No one approves of what our client said on that recording. There’s no denying that. But it was recorded in the comfort of his own home and later obtained and publicized illegally. Not to mention, the mafia tactics the league is using to try to muscle Mr. Sterling out of his rightfully owned franchise are highly illegal and even unconstitutional. We have no doubt that our client will be exonerated when it is all said and done.”

Well well.

Larry Elder reported on his radio show tonight that Sterling most likely is using his vast fortune to dig up dirt on the other NBA owners — who doesn’t have a skeleton or two his his closet? — and then threaten to publish their dirty laundry.

Larry thinks that’s why Mark Cuban came out and said what he did.

Don’t care if he’s racist, Im rooting for him. It was a private conversation and hope to sue the NBA for more billions.

Here it comes.

Sterling is not the type to be cowed by these antics. He knows they want his franchise...and he knows who it is that wants it.

He will fight them.

This story is bogus. It was picked up from a satire site.

Double ditto. Infringe on our right to free speech? How about privacy issues. And I want Snoopdog to take back what he said before he knew the facts but then again that’s what race baiters do...

Of course with zero and holder you know that little missy will never be prosecuted for the illegal recording and dissemination of a private conversation, and hell she gonna be president anyways.

Legal analysis from Sports Illustrated.

"2. Sterling suing may lead to pretrial discovery, which could be designed in part to embarrass other owners and NBA officials [or players] of any bigoted remarks or beliefs on their part. Keep in mind, if Sterling is ousted because of racism, he would likely demand that evidence showing that other owners and officials are also racist be shared. He would use such information to portray his penalty as unwarranted and contradicted by the conduct of those who ousted him. Sterling might request emails and other records from owners and officials that depict them in a negative light. Sterling has owned the Clippers for 33 years, which suggests that he has had many interactions -- including private conversations with league officials and owners. If there are other owners who are racist or bigoted, it stands to reason Sterling knows who they are. "

Sterling may know who said and thinks what. This thing can spin way out of control for the NBA.
