Yep, dead text links are usually used for posts about unwelcome websites like DU, then the reader must go through the painful :'new window, copy and paste' set of steps.
It definitely took my no, but only after I temporarily allowed all scripts on the page. Used to be you could just identify the poll script and allow that, but I guess the sites are getting wise to the likes of the NoScript browser plugin.

I voted no. 10,122 votes now 71% yes, 29% no. Don’t know if there is anyway to tell where it really ended up though.

It’s currently 70% yes, but at the bottom, it said “You voted for this”. Does this mean I voted “yes”? Because I voted No.
Wouldn’t take my “no” vote.

C'mon, freepers, freep this poll.
Every time a poll appears for our plucking, there's always the usual contingent that climbs on the thread saying it's "fixed".
It took my 'no' vote and the 'no' vote of my freeper neighbor.
This is the "Washington Compost", fer cryin' out loud! Their readership is probably damn near 100% lefties. I'm surprised we're doing as well as indicated.
I believe in PUSHBACK...we won't win this poll, but the enemy will know we're out here. Our goal should be to push our percentage up as high as possible in the time available, especially since it's this bird-cage-liner, commie newspaper.
Pour it on....this is a Freep....this is what we're here for, to do things like freeping polls, even losing them......and we don't want to discourage others from doing so.
