This year’s national teacher of the year - Sean McComb of Patapsco High School and Center for the Arts in Baltimore - was honored in the East Room of the White House on Thursday as President Barack Obama recapped the story of his early life.

Obama wrapped up his remarks by thanking all the nation’s teachers.

“You’re doing the Lord’s work,” he said.

Last Sunday at church, we were discussing prayer during our adult Bible class. The leader asked if we could ask bummer one question, what would it be.

I said, “When are you going to resign barry?”

An older lady said she would ask him “What are you going to say to the Lord on judgment day”?

Imagine if President George W. Bush had said “You are doing the Lord’s work” at a public school. There would be a hew and a cry from Atheists everywhere (especially about the supposed “Separation between Church and State”). But because it is president Obama, you won’t hardly hear a cricket chirping.
