For many years, the Southern Poverty Law Center has labeled groups with values it doesnt tolerate as hate groups, but now the organization is taking its attacks a step further, demanding Amazon and PayPal blacklist bloggers and websites that dont fall in line with its leftist agenda.
Headlined Financing Hate in the groups Intelligence Report publication, the Southern Poverty Law Center, or SPLC, listed 91 hate groups ranging from those clearly on the fringe to mainstream bloggers and websites such as Catholic Family News, Atlas Shrugs, Jihad Watch, WND and the Americans for Legal Immigration PAC.
Clearly stating its opposition, it describes how some of the organizations utilize Amazon, PayPal and other online services to sell products.

Fascism. Plain and simple.
Sure and their demographic can be welfare recipients, they’ll make a lot of money on them.
Remember when the liberal line was, “I don’t agree with you but I would fight for your right to say it”? This was the line used to defend obscenities in music, films, public art, etc...
Gun shops,
Ammo manufacturers,
Bakeries with straight, Christian owners.
This stuff makes my skin crawl. We are in such trouble. The hate is totally on the left.
I can’t believe America has sank to this level.
And we have people calling Putin bad. They are as bad or worse.
Does amazon want to be sued? SPLC should be.
Money is no longer the point. Control is.
There have been two high profile hits recently, there will be more. If you own or are a high ranking member of any business and have any non PC views, you will be a target.
It is open season as the Community Organizer in Chief continues to give Hat Tips to his New Red Guards.
Welcome to the full blown court of ‘social justice.’ Here you will find no representation or protections. Sign a contract with any of these entities ...it has the full force of the government behind it.
Oh and keep in mind these entities can change those contracts on a whim, add progressive morality clauses etc. and courts will back them up under the color of law.
Suddenly it seems you can no longer conduct business, you can no longer offer your clients the convenience of a credit/debit card because the banks won’t process them for purchases of “hate material or guns.”
Will these new rules of business be any different that the denunciation letters required by China’s Red Guard? Will we find ourselves run out of town, homes ransacked too. Or will we see the more soft Maoism as had been executed on Paula Deen, Mozilla, and most recently Sterling.
Sterling was such an easy target to hit. One that very few people would dare defend such a despicable old man. But he was taken to court on his discriminations and he paid his fines/dues. But it wasn’t enough for the mobs was it?
Social Justice does not respect the Law. Social Justice is mob rule.
It’s interesting to contrast this blacklist idea with the stories of the bakery and photographer who refused to provide services in a very narrow set of circumstances, yet were eviscerated by the same people who are suggesting practically institutionalizing the exact same behavior on a grand scale.
My friends used to laugh when I observed that the left was making sure CW-II would be the last and only recourse for freedom.
They are no longer laughing.
The frustrating part of all of this are my liberal in laws who say...”don’t say hateful things and you’ll have nothing to worry about”. Saying “Obama plays too much golf” is hateful in their eyes. My in laws are not allowed in my home by the way.
And foretold in tomes such as TTD. It will not end well.
If you can find the full movie online, watch Morning Sun. I have been contending for days the regime is following in Mao’s footsteps, but with a soft version, and we are now witnessing the rise of Obama’s Red Guard. If you’re curious about that there is a vanity posted the other day.
Mao only needed to give his hat tip to the revolutionaries. He didn’t need to change any laws. We’ve said for awhile now how people in the regime don’t need direct marching orders on this stuff. In fact, we were a bit too slow to realize what he was doing way back at the infamous Beer Summit. That matter should have gone to court, not the garden of social justice. Obama weighing on Trayvon Martin as a social justice cause, not a legal one. Biden calling Silver before the punishment was meted out to an old bigot for comments he made in private. The list could go on and on for anyone who wants to dig for more information and examples.
It is over as of the Sterling/Silver moment.
O so true, Amazon would be cutting it’s own throat. Conservatives shop on line a lot. Amazon is a prime shopping place. I ought to know. I use it a lot. I can read product reviews.
The nearest Mall is a hrs drive 1 way, it is NOT handicap friendly either. Plus it is high crime. And I am not allowed to CCW there. So why shop there, they do not carry my age range clothes, or my size in shoes.
I don’t even Christmas shop at the mall. Gift cards, 10 mins of shopping at Kroger’s, done. With 7 grands 5 g’grands, you can’t keep up with them. Gas points too.
"Southern" Think Antebellum South and evil WHITE slave owners.
"Poverty" Elevate people who have failed to make a living for themselves to heroic status because... Well just because they are failures.
"Law" Who's law? The law of the slip and fall lawyer of course.
"Center" The center of what? The center of Socialism. The timid souls that just don't have the wherewithal to compete.
No more Jay Z music and Oprah books??
The very first group to put on the list is the Southern Poverty Law Center.
These guys purposely will post hateful comments at the sites they do not like then the site would get flagged and put out of business. I saw this at a site called Lucianne where someone you never saw post before would say all kinds of racist things then they of course disappeared and come back with another username. It would happen mostly around election times.....
