South Carolina Republican congressman Trey Gowdy claimed he has evidence of a systematic, intentional decision to withhold certain documents from Congress about the Benghazi attacks and alleged White House cover-up.
Gowdy spoke with Fox News Greta van Susteren about Speaker of the House John Boehners Friday decision to form a select committee on Benghazi. The congressman explained that the committee will allow a more complete investigation into the issue, unburdened by the jurisdictional restraints that often plague other committees.
If you want to have Greg Hicks and the station chief from Tripoli and Hillary Clinton all sitting at the same table, you need to have a committee that has the power to do that, Gowdy said. And a select committee would have that power.
Gowdy widely viewed as a frontrunner to chair the new committee later told Susteren he supports Congress subpoena of Secretary of State John Kerry in order to get documents they have long awaited from the State Department.
He then added he has proof that documents relating to Benghazi and the alleged Obama administration cover-up have been deliberately withheld from Congress.

Obama: "Up yours, Gowdy. I'm gonna double-down. Dare ya to do something about it."
Put him on the IRS scandal as well. Time for people to go to jail.
Benghazi ping.
Let Republicanprofessor know if you want on or off this ping list.
I think Boehner is dangling Gowdy out there to help him win his primary which is this Tuesday in south-western Ohio.
Boehner is no fan of truth seeking. I am sure the GOPe is yelling at him to NOT pick Gowdy (who would do too good of a job ala Peter Rodino), but Boehner sees this as a way to defeat his primary challengers, including a Tea Party endorsed candidate, in this potentially tough battle.
In a thread back in 2008 that was eventually pulled, I made the comment that Obama would set the cause of black presidents back at least a generation; that he might be the first black president, but there wouldn't be a second black president for decades.
I was called all sorts of names after that post, and the thread was eventually pulled.
Today, I still stand by those comments.

And that is a shame, junkie.
There are several outstanding men of color who would be excellent candidates for the Oval Office, except for the names they would be called by the progressive left.
Articles of impeachment were drawn up against Nixon for ATTEMPTING to use the IRS in this fashion.
I saw and heard the interview with Greta. He just doesn’t give a s-— about anything except the truth and he’s going after it.
“Cant someone on his staff (or maybe his wife?) pleeeeeeeease get this guy a decent haircut?”
He told Greta if he was on the committee, he had no agenda other than that because he didn’t have the hair to be president. I laughed.
A fascistic Mussolini posture without lifted arm!!!
Look what they did to Allen West.
Look what they're still doing to Condi Rice.
