Greg Gutfeld leads crazy debate over provocative ‘Orgy Statue’ at town’s city hall (VIDEO)

A controversial statue in the small Michigan town of Adrian provided a worthy topic for a Fox News crew of humorists.

Greg Gutfeld and his “Red Eye Debate Center” sidekicks had fun bantering with a provocative work of art, which upset enough Adrian citizens to have it removed from city hall grounds to a less conspicuous spot in the park.

Sculptor Mark Chatterley’s unorthodox statue, depicting seven people relying on each other and entitled “Blue Human Condition,” outraged enough residents who nicknamed it “The Orgy Statue” to invoke from Gutfeld’s cohorts a bevy of one-liners.

Some offended onlookers complained.

Well, yeah, it’s a bunch of people having sex in public. Do you mind terribly if my kid doesn’t have to see that every day?

I don’t know if sexuality was the intent but its bizarre and ugly.

What ever happened to statues of historical figures. Michigan has plenty to choose from.

When I saw that statue assembly, my first thought was that it was from The Book of Kama Sutra; an ABC sex guide for adults, with line drawings showing all the positions one could (perhaps should’nt) imagine. The second thought is this group of dancers that comes around here couple times a year called the Pilobolus Dance Company. Pilobolus specializes in creating human sculptures comprised of bodies ‘artfully’ placed together in very, very close proximity. I admire the flexibility and athletic skill of the dancers, but to be honest, it’s kind of embarassing to watch. I don’t want anybody THAT close to me for a prolonged period of time unless we got something going on. That probably just means I’m not too sophisticated or that since I grew up in Detroit, I still have greater ‘boundary issues’ than the average person.

It just looks stupid to me. It certainly doesn’t make me think of sex. Just typical talentless modern “art”.

Ugly. Bizarre. Stupid.

Having said that, I am visiting Michigan for the first time this week. Going to a place near Lake City for 4 days - wedding close by. Looking for nice place to eat on Saturday night.....

Really looking forward to it!

When I was a kid, the title of "artist" was quite an honor. It brought to mind Norman Rockwell.

Now when I hear the word, I think, "run for your life!"

I hate Red Eye and Gutfield. Everything with him has to have either a sexual, or a substance abuse, double ententre. He brings the same attitude to The Five. I refuse to allow either show on my TV. Another Fox effort that will soon follow to the waste bin is Outnumbered. Just a bunch of women screaming at each other over whichever hapless man is assigned to them for the hour.

(And I am a womam.)

Fox should be ashamed of themselves for putting on such trash.

Fox used to be on my TV 24/7. No more with these recent changes in programming.

double ententre = double entendre

I always make typos when I get emotional.

Let me guess, that one on the bottom would be
“The Tax Payer.”?
