1st openly gay Episcopal bishop to divorce husband

The first openly gay Episcopal bishop, who became a symbol for gay rights far beyond the church while deeply dividing the world's Anglicans, plans to divorce his husband.

Bishop Gene Robinson announced the end of his marriage to Mark Andrew in an email sent to the Diocese of New Hampshire, where he served for nine years before retiring in 2012.

Robinson would not disclose details about the end of their 25-year relationship but wrote Sunday in The Daily Beast he owed a debt to Andrew "for standing by me through the challenges of the last decade."

What church was that?

The one in Saudi Arabia? It wasn't a church. There are no churches there. The Mass was celebrated in the priest's living room at first, then it was celebrated in a large room in the rec hall, dedicated, sort of, for these Christian services.

The only difference was the the Mass was celebrated daily. The Anglicans and Protestants met once a week. Don't ask me why the latter separated themselves like that--there were only six Anglicans and they DID get an Anglican man of the cloth. The "Protestants" lumped themselves together and ONE man of the cloth, a Lutheran, led their service.

I STILL go to daily Mass, thanks to my Muslim boss. My Catholic Indian co-worker was the one who brought this up. We worked Saturdays-Wednesdays and our "weekend" was Thursday-Friday. I refused to go to "Friday" Mass as my Sunday. I took off 20 minutes from work on Sunday mornings to go to Mass across the street. My Indian Catholic coworker STRONGLY objected, even though I made up the time at lunch.

Since I didn't stop this practice, he "told on me." That is when my boss, the Muslim, told me that "God was number one. There is always time for God. "Cloud Mountain" (not my name of course) can go to pray whenever she wants."

Lol. Since I COULD, I went to Mass. Then it became daily. It was most comforting to me, especially over there which was SO foreign to me.

I used to sign my letters home "from the dark side of the moon." Things are different now over there now with the Internet. There can be daily exchange with loved ones.

Anything but heterosexuality is a choice. Why would anyone CHOOSE that?

Behaviors are complex. One of the factors is God’s design of imprinting. He designed it for good, for us to have good fathers and mothers to imprint on, but man has perverted it.

ALWAYS in your discussion bring out the fact that homosexuality is a BEHAVIOUR. Then a discussion of properness of that behaviors and finally a discussion of causes. “They” will always want to begin the discussion that they didn’t choose, don’t let them.

Why would anyone CHOOSE that?

I've been in a quandary about this; I've read articles claiming it is a choice and others that say it is not. I lean to believing that people are not born with this aberration.

Could it be true that environmental factors, even from an early age, may be the cause? That wouldn't necessarily point to a conscious choice.

Although we read that homosexuals make up a very small part of the population, in recent years too many of them try to push their unnatural lifestyle on others. As a result, I think they may be influencing our young people to view their same-sex partnerships as just "different" but equally acceptable as heterosexual relationships.

That is so false and tells us a lot about their shame and insecurity. Yes, it is sad.

Anything OTHER than heterosexuality is a choice. NO one is born with anything else. WHY more males make the choice is as much of a conundrum as to why any human makes a choice like that in the first place.

The choice IS made some time between 13 and 16 years of age.

I used to teach teenagers, high school, then college.

I have never met any homosexuals who try to push their "agenda" on any others but the homosexuals I have known were all a bit older and not stupid.
Youngsters who would be influenced by homosexuals would have to be around them...and why WOULD they be? There are only .5 - 1.5% homosexuals, very few. And, they are in the mid-late teens to begin with. How would youngsters even KNOW what they were? That requires more than an ordinary amount of sophistication. How many youngsters are that sophisticated? None that I ever saw.

No need for a quandary. Children are NORMALLY protected by their parents. Children are not always even aware of sexual mis-orientation.
Parents WOULD be around when their children are 13-16 years of age, supervising them, we would hope, so why the worry.

The ones to worry about are the plethora of FATHERLESS boys! They are the BANE of our society and our prisons are STUFFED with them for proof.
