Benghazi cover-up is starting to unravel
American Thinker ^ | May 4, 2014 | Thomas Lifson

There is a lot more to come on the Benghazi cover-up, and it could well lead to criminal charges for withholding subpoenaed evidence. Trey Gowdy, an experienced prosecutor who will head the House Select Committee, has gone on the record (on Greta van Susteren’s FNC program of the same name) as having more evidence of a cover-up.

...

The person who should worry most is former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

For example, until now we have seen zero documentation to explain how Clinton out of the blue concocted the statement she issued on the evening of the attacks, which first raised the notion that the attacks came “as a response to inflammatory material posted on the Internet.”

In all the material released by the administration to date, there are no notes, e-mails or drafts of Clinton’s Sept. 11, 2012 statement similar to the back-and forth e-mail chain released last year showing how the CIA talking points evolved during three days of inter-agency discussion.

And yet surely such documents exist. We know from the public record that Clinton was getting real-time information on the attacks.

“It’s nice to dream and be positive but don’t be naive.”

I agree with your pragmatism, but if not for those who believe beyond what is ‘possible’ the world would be a lesser place. We need more passion on our side. The reality is that if not for the success of the opposition, we would never have heard much more about Benghazi than the initial lies. The other side depends upon our ‘rolling over’ and accepting that we can’t change things. They fear people who are ‘crazy’ enough to keep fighting.

MSM starts to distance themselves from The Obama administration.

Mrs WBill gets "Rolling Stone". (I know....I know. It's an artifact from when she worked as a band promoter). Anyhoo, I peruse it occasionally (know your enemy!), and have been surprised to find a double handful of articles / op-ed type stuff that have been critical of Obama. Mostly, the authors can't decide if he's too conservative, not liberal enough, or just flat wrong. :-)

Remember that op-ed passes for "News" in RS. Will see if they get back to toe-ing the party line as elections approach. I'd suspect that they'll be amazed at how much "Obama has learned from his mistakes" or somesuch.

Hey, you cannot disparge anyone for being a skeptical of the GOP or anyone in it. Their track record thus for has not been that great.

Thank you.

Pubbies, sadly, have a sterling record of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

I hadn’t heard that Gowdy actually will head the committee.

That pleases me.

Not defeatist, realistic. Look at the Republican track record of late. I'm not just talking about all the scandals. How many times have the Republicans either collaborated with the Dems (bipartisanship) or just outright caved? Where is the backbone?

Trust me, if I'm wrong, I will be doing the happy dance. I will be over the moon if more than a few members of this administration start wearing orange jumpsuits. But we conservatives have to face facts. Liberals and spineless wimps have infested today's Republican party. It's no longer the party of Reagan.

So I'm going to continue to remain skeptical for the time being, but hope that this party takes back its manhood and gets justice.

I really can’t stomach the blatant naysayers. Thanks for keeping a list, it will come in quite handy I’m sure.

I have faith in truth prevailing, regardless of how long it takes to surface. This is one step of many and I for one am keeping Gowdy et al in my prayers.

I feel the same way. Defeatists are very active and even more so of late.

Now that action is starting to happen.

Why are they so anxious to instill defeatism and hopelessness?

I do not believe that any fact set arising out of Benghazi will cause Obama’s removal, as the IRS matter clearly could.

I feel so strongly about this that I believe that is why Boehner chose thus, as opposed to the IRS, for a select committee.

So, I suppose, add me to the list. Hope I’m wrong.

Cover Up YES
Over eighteen months have passed and still no capture has been made on those terrorists involved in the Benghazi massacre. Why? We have no leadership in the White House Obama is a national disgrace.

We went after Ben Laden, but not these ass holes. Again, Why? It’s a White House cover-up.

Well, maybe this WND article will shed some light.......

“Why Top Benghazi suspect wasn’t apprehended”

"Rolling Stone"

Yeah there's a pant-load of butthurt over there about Holder and 0 going jack-boot on the pot dispensaries in California. Then they have Matt Taibbi, in blind squirrel fashion he's done some good investigative work.

"...the authors can't decide if he's too conservative, not liberal enough…

I'm guessing you are correct.

I swear I soaked up your response without reading it in a reply to a bud of mine just a few minutes prior to reading this.........spooooooky.

You are 101% keyrect. Dog and pony show to appease the Bubbas and Bubbets so that they will calm down and it “appears” that something is going to be done. While end run on them is performed.

The government does not want and can not have another Bundy episode on it’s hand at this moment. Calm the hoard...

This will play out as follows...

Right now Obama is tasking CIA & DoD to (finally) do the hit on the Benghazi principals. Drones, Deltas, SEALs in some combination. It will go down one day before the hearings start. He will then wave the bloody shirt, a la Ben Laden, and Hilary will be able to say, once again, “What difference does it make (now)”. Like the Bin Laden hit, Obama has been scared that it would go wrong and he will be blamed or that he will lose face in the Muslim world, or both.

The real problem is that if it is so obvious that he will do this based on past actions, then the bad guys in Libya have figured it out too and are hardening themselves and perhaps setting up an ambush if we try to put boots on the ground or tremendous, ugly, collateral damage if we do an air strike. Either way, Obama will eventually blame bush if it goes bad and the lick-spittle lap dogs in the media will support him.

I’ll know that things are starting to unravel when the MSM starts to distance themselves from The Obama administration.

The CIA has highly placed Mockingbirds in every major news organization to ensure that the CIA's version of F&F does not come out, and with scrutiny of that cut off by the msm and congressional timidity and or dirty hands, there might not be much left to go after hillery or the presifraud.

Hillary's incessant State Dept globe-trotting raises new questions about her motives....since it is well-known her global travels contributed nothing to US foreign policy.

Hefty corporate donations to the Clintons' tax-exempt foundations were one result as Hillary advocated for companies who donated to them...... but exchanging valuable US ntl security info for campaign contributions......that could really add up.

===========================================

And just who cleaned out the State Dept's bank accounts? News reports say the State Department announced it has "no idea" what happened to $6 billion used to pay its contractors..... a special “management alert” warned “significant financial risk and a lack of internal control at State has led to billions of unaccounted dollars over the last six years....under Hillary's watch.

Now we know how Hillary always$ get$ tho$e wonderful poll number$----why $he's always at the top of the pre $idential pack (cackle).

I do not believe that any fact set arising out of Benghazi will cause Obama’s removal, as the IRS matter clearly could.

Impeachment followed by an acquittal in the Senate does not preclude criminal charges being brought.
