FBI reportedly eyed Joe Montana, then dropped probe (Yee's shoulder fired missiles)

**SNIP**

It was there that James Brosnahan, attorney for one of the defendants, former San Francisco school board President Keith Jackson, told his colleagues that Montana was among those the government was looking to shield from unfair scrutiny, multiple sources say. Brosnahan is one of the lawyers on the defense team who was negotiating terms of the protective order with federal prosecutors.

"I have nothing to say affirmatively or negatively" about that, Brosnahan said when we contacted him about Montana.

Just why the FBI would take an interest in a retired football great as part of a probe that netted Yee on public-corruption charges and Chow for alleged money laundering is an open question. The FBI itself isn't saying.

"I wouldn't be able to confirm or deny that interaction," said FBI spokesman Peter Lee.

Lee on Yee.

You’d have to wonder what dinner party Joe Montana was attending and how this money-laundering and gun-running scheme was portrayed. Personally, if rendered illegal....Joe has to go jail too, in my humble opinion.

Just an odd question....but after these shoulder fired missiles were imported into the US....where the heck were they going to use them? Rob banks? Assault beach parties?

My odd question is this: Have a lot of them ALREADY been imported? If so, who has them?

Perhaps a sweet older couple in Chicago by the name of Ayers and Dohrn?

Put an explosive tip on a football, and Joe Montana would make a fine “Shoulder Fired Missile.”

Joe Montana doesn’t need a rocket launcher, he could throw that missle right on target.

Under pressure from the HR guy to improve the EEO stats I was forced to hire a (”trained” by the prison system) guy born and bred in Oakland after his ten year prison stint (for armed robbery) into a technician position. One day about six months later I comment during break that I would love to own a Browning M2. The next day the guy showed up with one in the trunk of his car as a gift to me for “changing his life”. He also made it clear that any other automatic weapons or grenades etc were available at a discount because I was so good to him.

Three months later he was back in the can for another armed robbery. That experience changed the way I think about what are they going to do with that?? Apparently it is a barter and reward system.

Just your average prepper or anyone else who wants to feel safe in their homes. Everybody has heard Crazy Joes oft repeated line about just shooting a shotgun through the door, but are unfamiliar with his less well known advice of "just blow their asses away with a MANPAD and it's coffee and donut time".

If you were to read the affidavit, you would find that no deal was ever comsumated and no weapons were ever transported from the Philiphines. You would also learn that the plan was to transport them to Newark NJ for transfer and transport to an Affrican country. Since this part was all part of the ruse on the part of the FBI, there was no actual final buyer of weapons.
