He wants to remain Speaker of the House, no doubt. Tough luck. I’ve been saying for a long time that Gowdy would serve this country best as Speaker of the House.

Damn. I hate it when that happens. Trey Gowdy is the best thing to happen to the House since, well since forever.
Chaffitz is good too. Not as articulate but he knows his stuff and was part of the Group that Went to Libya and talked to Americans that were involved. He was also present when Cheryl Mills tried to strong arm witnesses before and during their discussions with the Congressmen.
Yeah, the blanket on the coverup is about to be pulled back.
I hope the first witnesses Gowdy calls are those that the Aministration are those that the Admin. has hid from public and the other Committees.
Gowdy is EXACTLY the kind of Pushback Johnathan Turley testified about, that needed to happen or we loose our Republic form of Government.
Future Headline: President Obama announces his Resignation after a year long fight with Congress and the Courts over his criminal activities. Obama during his announcement didn’t speak of the alleged criminal activities but rather Accusing Congressment Gowdy of Being a typical Southern Cracka upset over a black man in the White House continuing to harass him instead of spending time fixing the Economy.

Let’s hope he also appoints Gohmert to the committee. Can’t hurt to have a judge be a part of the process.
So many unanswered questions. I would also like to know, who ordered the “stand down”.
I just hope Gowdy has no undiscovered skeletons in his closet, because you can be sure the Leftist Money Men will dispatch a literal army of private eyes to dig up dirt on him.

In a few months, Gowdy will be the most hated man in America since Ken Starr. You can bet the liberal MSM will see to that.
You are right about Chaffitz. He should be on the committee. He has the knowledge, the desire and the passion to do right by 4 dead Americans.
Gowdy is perfect as head of the Committee. When he questions (more like cross examines) witnesses, I feel the stress. :) Wouldn’t you hate to be a defendant or a witness for a defendant in any of his cases? I swear I would need to be hospitalized after something like that.
My memory seems to call up some comments from Gowdy earlier in his career where he was saying he didn’t plan to run for office after x number of years in Congrss — essentially applying term limits to himself.
If that memory is correct as to his predisposition, he can be pretty dang fearless if he does not care about future electoral asperations. He can take this to the nth degree and still find a good prosecutorial or litigation position for more money after his service.
I would like to see him run for President, but that is just me. He may have better aspirations in life than dive into that cesspool.
