Sounds like something Richard Nixon might have said.

If they don’t cooperate, put their @$$es in jail where they belong. This isn’t Nazi Germany or the old Soviet Union.

Like I said, this is just more Kabuki theater...
If the House really meant it, they would have appointed a SPECIAL PROSECUTOR and just gone for it.

So the officials being investigated think they get to decide what is and isn’t “legitimate oversight?”
Seems like grounds for impeachment right there!

“This isnt Nazi Germany or the old Soviet Union.”
Nazi Germany and Soviet Russia never had a smear machine they could whistle-up on a moment’s notice to destroy a politician. It matters not that the investigator is above board, impartial and honest. If he targets the left his career is finished. He could be the second coming of Jesus but he’ll likely never work in DC again.
The Clinton investigations were a sh*tstorm. But the Clinton’s walked away undamaged. It was the investigators who were harmed.

If he refuses to cooperate with the Committee from the House of Representatives, I believe that to be a high crime and he should be impeached and convicted and removed from office.
Now, a lot of the Democrats either do not like him or his policies and are starting to be afraid of the monster they have created.
Of course, the Mainstream Republicans are as yellow as canary feathers and of equal substance so I doubt much will come from empty words and a toothless Committee.

That’s a good thing, in this case, because all information goes dark after that.
