Pew/Usa Today Poll: The GOP Midterm Tsunami Cometh
Breitbart.com ^ | May 5,2014 | Wyntn Hall

With only 183 days until the Nov. 4 midterm elections, a new Pew Research/USA Today poll shows Obamacare and the bleak jobs picture have coalesced to put Democrats in a weaker political position than they were before the historic GOP 2010 midterm tsunami that resulted in the largest defeat for a newly elected president in a midterm since 1922.

Lemme guess. Same people that claimed this in 2012 and that Romney was a shoe-in?

I’m all for the Dims getting whipped but let me tell you ... believe happy talk at your peril.

Where was all this discontent during the 2012 election? That’s when we really needed to make a change. Now it might be too little too late.

If the tsunami doesn’t knock down at least 80% of the $4 trillion government-zilla, then it becomes a virtually unnoticed wave lapping up on the shore.

Don’t worry if one person can snatch defeat from the jaws of victory its Boehner.

Agent Orange has to be replaced. Let him retire back to Cincinnati and go to baseball and football games, and leave the rest of us alone.

I don’t give much of a damn about a GOP tsunami. We better get a conservative/constitutional/America-First tsunami or it’ll be deja-vu all over again.

A number of tax increases just came into effect. That always makes a dent. Starting this year, Obamacare pushed millions out of affordable, comprehensive medical coverage into expensive, limited plans. While it’s a bit early to start counting those chickens, Democratic policies have hurt a lot of voters, some of whom might have voted Democratic in the past, and others who might have not voted previously because they considered it a waste of time. If both groups pull the lever for the GOP, I’d expect big gains at the polls.

“I’m all for the Dims getting whipped but let me tell you ... believe happy talk at your peril.”

Difference, Obamacare has kicked in and people are taking a gigantic hit financially, plus losing their insurance policies, or being cut down to part-time jobs, or losing jobs, or not finding any jobs. The new reality. One shouldn’t screw around with peoples’ piggy banks.

“Agent Orange has to be replaced.”

Excellent moniker for Boehner, BigEdLB. Way to go.

He just appointed Gowdy special prosecutor.

is something going on inside republican camp that would allow for such a wise and competent appointee?

POINTS TO PONDER: the side wanting to avoid a debate is usually the side losing the debate.

His signature legislation "Obamacare" proved to be a blunder of Ceausescuian proportions, yet, Obama unilaterally declared the debate to be “over.” Tone-deaf Obama forgets that:

<><> no political question is ever permanently settled,

<><>Obamacare clone, "Hillary-Care," shoulda been a lesson learned, but Obama stupidly forged ahead,

<><> negative soundings from the grassroots, were prophetic---but loyal Dummycrats sap-happily lock-stepped w/ Obama.

================================================

Amazingly stupid is that the 2014 Democrats are hopping onto the ACA bandwagon---embracing what they claim are ObamaCare's "positives," even though healthcare is a bigger political bomb now than it was when Dems party got shellacked in 2010.

Lock-stepping Democrats face 2014's gale force political headwinds, dissatisfaction in their own ranks, struggling voters living with a dismal economy, the coast-to-coast disgust that Obama is dragging the country in the wrong direction----all surefire losers at the polls.

President Obama is near all-time lows on his approval ratings and was labeled 'political poison' to the party’s candidates. .... being tied to an unpopular president can be a millstone around an eager politician's neck. Democrats want some of Obama's pull, but Obama, himself, should get out of their way.....and stay the hell in Washington.

==================================================

BACKSTORY In 2009, retiring Arkansas Rep. Marion Berry presciently warned that ObamaCare was setting up Democrats for a huge 2010 midterm defeat; just as “HillaryCare” led to Democrat loss of 54 House seats in 1994.

Obama scoffed at such concerns; he told Berry, “Well, the big difference here is you’ve got me.”

SO MUCH FOR O'S EGOTISM 2010 Republicans went on to win 63 House seats and six Senate seats.....the largest swing to Repubs in the House since 1938. So Obama was right---the difference was him. ROTFL.

Onward to 2014-2016.

Big difference is that the left cannot concentrate their efforts for the election of one guy.

These are hundreds of races where smaller groups of royally ticked off people have more power and cannot be drowned out by a few cities. And the left’s voting blocs have already been gerrymandered into irrelevance leaving swing districts that only need us to swamp the polls which most of us are ready to do.

WRT Benghazi: 65% of the electorate would like to see the next president offer different policies and programs than Obama's.......

ALL YOU EVER WANTED TO KNOW ABOUT "SMART POWER": Obama is the sap-happy president who went on multiple global apology tours, who used to say:

<><> he could repair America's relationships with its allies,

<><> he would do a "reset" with Russia,

<><> he would make nice w/ the Muslim world,

<><> he could make peace just about everywhere he went.

That's what Obama called "SMART POWER"---a post-Bush term coined by Hillary Clinton.

===============================================

Behold what "Smart Power" hath wrought: Debacle after debacle---Obama's careening and incomprehensible handling of the Syrian crisis, Benghazi, Ukraine, Boston bombings, Muslim jihad.

Obama's a US ntl security and foreign policy centerfold---he's stark naked before the world----naive, isolated, and outlandishly stupid..... displaying a buncha State Dept/NSA boobs as advisors.

Then-Secy of State Hillary played a huge part in the "Smart Power" debacle.......her all-girl State Dept couldn't even get the Russian reset button right.

=========================================

Democrats' 'Smart Power' Lies in Ruins; Suddenly
Realizing What They Miscalculated About the World

National Review | Sept 3, 2013 | Jim Geraghty / FR Posted by kristinn

....... Democrats are suddenly realizing that their foreign policy brain-trust completely misjudged the world.

Being nicer to countries like Russia will not make them nicer to you. The United Nations is not an effective tool for resolving crises. Some foreign leaders are beyond persuasion and diplomacy. There is no “international community” ready to work together to solve problems, and there probably never will be.

You can pin this on Hillary Clinton, John Kerry, Susan Rice, but most of all, the buck stops with the president. Those of us who scoffed a bit at a state senator ascending to the presidency within four years on a wave of media hype and adoration are not quite so shocked by this current mess.

We never bought into this notion that getting greater cooperation from our allies, and less hostility from our enemies, was just a matter of giving this crew the wheel and letting them practice, as Hillary Clinton arrogantly declared it, “smart power” (and fronted Time magazine cover).

(These people can’t even label a foreign policy approach without reminding us of how highly they think of themselves.)

They looked out at the world at the end of the Bush years, and didn’t see tough decisions, unsolvable problems, unstable institutions, restless populations, technology enabling the impulse to destabilize existing institutions, evil men hungry for more power, and difficult trade-offs.

No, our problems and challengers were just a matter of the previous hands running U.S. foreign policy not being smart enough. (Excerpt) Read more at nationalreview.com ...

Boehner may be trying to win over conservatives before dropping the immigration hammer.

And then what?

Leftists will still control education.

Leftists will still control the machinery of government.

Leftists will still control the media.

And poor single parents will continue to have children they can't afford that will grow up voting for leftists.

The next two elections need to be about more than just electing Republicans. Something needs to change before it's too late.
