Asian kids don’t have a ‘built-in’ defeatist attitude. They know what is expected of them and they wish to please their parents.
They also have parents....................
The parents push harder because they know what it is like to be hungry, with not enough (or no) food to eat.
More people should go to bed hungry in this country. Hunger focuses the mind wonderfully well.
You got that right my aunt up in Alaska teach at Fairbank school mostly Chinese and Japanese American students they follow her class each day they really want see what teaching this going be today
This is high school
Yes, the Left hates us for exactly those reasons. We don’t fit their template. We refuse to be poor and downtrodden. we want our children to be engineers and doctors not rappers and drug dealers..............
Their IQ is also about 5 points higher than whites.
And white IQ is 20 points higher than blacks
And Jewish IQ is 20 points higher than whites
Combine IQ with effort = better students
Combine lower IQ with no effort = sons of Obama
This is so raciss. Who will demand that Asians “check their privilege”, and perform more in line with other minorities?
See this is the deal. If you want sucess, get of you ass and try harder. ..
Problem being the left has promoted keeping us in diffrent groups and given each group a diffrence excuses not to get of their ass.
Because its logical to apply the reason Asians outperform to not just whites but ALL groups
But if you did apply this reason ANY group beside whites it would be decried as racist.
No pain no gain, excuses for failure cripple people.
My daughter signed up for math club in middle school, (her choice, she likes math, go figure). When I go to pick her up, it looks like I accidentally walked into a meeting of the Asian-American Students Association.
Can’t be - the common core advocates say Asian’s only score better because of the curriculum and that common core is going to bring Washington, DC school students up to par with Asian students.
Intelligence is also a predictor of interest math and the logical.
That’s because “conflict” in lib speak is discipline in ours.
When I was in grad school, I had a chinese office mate who was constantly asking for my help with his computer programming assignments, and I’m white.
It can also mean a more structured and disciplined upbringing, in a positive way, and not the “abuse” you so quickly created and embraced.
What do you know about it?
When you've heard that from your Kindergarten days, what does one expect?
With the exception of the early ancestors in our home country, college attendance for the last four generations is/was 100%. Of those, folks in my family with post-graduate degrees probably stands at about 90%. My grandmother is one of fifteen kids, so that is a lot of educated people.
Cuz you're racist, so shut up.
Common Core = slapping leg irons on academically successful people.
Reminds me of this joke posted elsewhere
Guy goes into a bar, theres a robot bartender. The robot says, What will you have? The guy says, Martini. The robot brings back the best martini ever and says to the man, Whats your IQ? The guy says,168. The robot then proceeds to talk about physics, space exploration and medical technology.
The guy leaves, but he is curious, so he goes back into the bar. The robot bartender says, What will you have? The guy says, Martini. Again, the robot makes a great martini, gives it to the man and says, Whats your IQ? The guy says, 100. The robot then starts to talk about Nascar, Budweiser and John Deere tractors.
The guy leaves, but finds it very interesting, so he thinks he will try it one more time. He goes back into the bar. The robot says, What will you have? The guy says, Martini, and the robot brings him another great martini. The robot then says, Whats your IQ? The guy says, Uh, about 50. The robot leans in real close and says, So, you people still happy you voted for Obama?
Don’t Japanese teens have one of the highest rates of suicide in the world because a lot of them can never live up to the expectations of their families?
