House Republicans are moving to set up a select committee to investigate the Benghazi attacks. The House could vote this week on establishing the panel, which House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) has said would be led by Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.), a former federal prosecutor.
Helle Dale, a Heritage expert who has followed the Benghazi scandal closely, said this “could be a giant step toward unraveling the real story behind the Benghazi attack, which cost four brave Americans their lives, and the cover-up that has denied Americans the truth.”
What is a select committee, and is this move useful? The Foundry asked Heritage legal expert Hans von Spakovsky.

The good news about Benghazi hearings is that it will shine the light of truth on how Hitlery was involved and that will kill her presidential opportunities.
Special investigations are an appeasement move to make people shut up. They show the people that were griping that “something is being done”, and then by the time the investigation is done (always timed for minimal effect) the world has moved on.
Yep. Hillary upheld her end of the deal to ensure Ambassador Stevens would be kidnapped by reducing his security and denying him additional security ahead of 9/11. Hillary’s BFF, the then-president of Egypt Mohammed Morsi apparently sent some overly-aggressive kidnappers and the plot turned ugly and the Blind Sheik stayed in U.S. custody.. or IS he?
Only if the House Sergeant at Arms is ordered to arrest these White House thugs and holds them until they testify.

...It will take a lot of public pressure to uncover the dimensions of what one member of the Citizens’ Commission on Benghazi called evidence of the “infiltration” of the U.S. government by the Muslim Brotherhood.
This is because some of those who want to investigate Benghazi, such as Senator John McCain (R-AZ), have no interest in uncovering Muslim Brotherhood operatives in the U.S. Government. McCain defended Hillary Clinton when one of her aides, Huma Abedin, was publicly identified as having personal and family connections to the Muslim Brotherhood. House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) has also defended Abedin.

Which will show treasonous activity of both the president and of the Sec. State, trading arms with Ansar al Sharia who were supposed to tranship them to Hamas and the Sunni Fedayeen in Syria.But something happened ( what was it?) and the US consulate and around 40 CIA officers were attacked.
The heroic 3 refused to follow orders to stand down, which would have guaranteed the slaughter of those 40 Americans. Obama did not count on the heroic three, they surprised him. The fact is that Obama wanted the whole CIA station and the consulate staff killed......leaving no witnesses who could reveal the treason of both Obama and Hillary.
So does a Benghazi select committee matter? You bet. Someone needs to hang for the treason committed there.
Yep. The Republicans raised the stakes. They raised the stakes again by putting Gowdy in charge. Now, we’ll see how much the Democrats feel they can lose. The smart bet would be for some Democrat staffers to have lunch with some Republican staffers. A Democrat staffer could say, “What would your bosses think if Obama got sick and resigned? Would Biden have to pardon him or would they just let him resign?”
There’s plenty going on that we’re not told about.
