the powerful chairman of the Armed Services panel, Rep. Howard "Buck" McKeon, R-Calif., challenged the testimony of Lovell, who was in U.S. Africa Command's headquarters in Germany monitoring the attack.

Yep, that sounds about right... : )
Anytime a conservative points out a truth about Obama, you can depend on some Republican speaking up and defending Obama while attacking the conservative.
The article says,”Congress has concluded that the military was never told to “stand down” and that assets such as fighter jets in Italy or other help weren’t ready to respond in time for the two attacks that occurred eight hours apart.”
I don’t recall congress “concluding” that the military never was told to “stand down” or congress “concluded” the military could not have made a response of some sort.
Well they were able to get two drones overhead to watch what was going on. I makes sense that those drones could have been armed if they wanted them to be. I simply don’t believe we could not get help there.
As Rush said, this is like Watergate except that Woodward and Bernstein are covering for Nixon instead of exposing him.
Let’s hope and pray Sen Gowdy will be able to get answers.
“What is Buck trying to hide?”
His pension?
He’s not trying to hide anything. He’s trying to keep his NSA record hidden.
It used to be that the USAF could get armed aircraft launch within 5 min. of an alert in any NATO country.
Today we’re supposed to believe that not only were the Generals unable to launch armed aircraft with TWO HOURS, but Obama is quite comfortable with announcing this deterioration in readiness to our enemies.
Obama was ‘absent’ and only the president can issue a CBA (cross border authorization).
Since he did not issue a CBA, the military was not given a “go”. ....That’s the equivalent of a tacit ‘stand down’, since Obama wouldn’t authorize the military to cross a foreign border.
This idiot McKeon (R-CA) is nit picking the fact that the specific words, ‘stand down’, were not ordered from D.C.
Yes, but the notion that it was not possible for help to arrive in time is pure CRAP!
It was a function of “will”, NOT “what was possible”.
