Ive always believed that is exactly what happened..because Obama was down in the polls and he needed something big to make him popular again. I think his team thought that if they had some sort of hostage situation(Like what occurred in Iran) that he could do a swap and be considered a hero who saved a US Ambassador..I knew the Blind Sheikh theory made the most sense because for about a week there were rumors about it taking place but the State Department kept on half ass denying it, so I knew something was up then this happened and just made perfect sense
See that is where my theory comes in, they did NOT expect the other three to show up..that was unexpected, they did not see that one coming. Once the plan was foiled Obama basically said F it let them all die..he probably sat there and watched it all go down. No way was he not a part of this, he watched it, got pissed that his plan got screwed up, then enjoyed watching them die
I cannot see how trading the Blind Sheik for the ambassador would boost Obama’s popularity. I don’t think the Romney voters would have been impressed. Then again in Obama’s warped brain he thought it would work.

I’ve seen some private sector personal protection details that are extremely well trained, experienced, dedicated, and heavily armed that would give a trained assasin a run for his money. Most assassins are just trained opportunists with the right tools who wait for the right time to act. They can be dealt with if they are expected.
I called his office about 8 months ago. The Wiki on him actually listed the names and ages of his children and the schools they attended. I told them to get that info off the net.
