What is interesting about stupid kids singing pop music COVERS!? I’d rather see Frank Zappa play a bicycle and original stuff. How does this karaoke TV get likeable anyway? Put Motörhead, Slayer, or Johnny Cash on TV for real music.

Why does this remind me of the old SCTV comedy show starring John Candy and Eugene Levy as the hysterically funny Schmenge Brothers from”Lutonia.” The Soviet Socialist Republic of Lutonia.

Their Miss Lutonia contest featured a talent show with the women competing in a toilet bowl cleaning contest. Add a few sticks of gum and there you have it, up to date as can be.

The music on Eurovision is mostly awful. Occasionally, however, something decent bubbles up.

Mostly the show is a kitsch fest, popular with the ladies and the gays.

On a cruise a few years ago, there was a trio of young Russian female violinists. In all honesty, they were beautiful, talented, and personable. And there have never been more men dedicated to attending violin concerts.

It should have won, although country and western is probably a mistake for Eurovision.

The Russians got booed by the Copenhagen audience at every opportunity tonight. It wasnt pretty.
