At some point you would think MSNBC would just stop trying and go home. Remember when they tweeted that conservatives hate biracial families? Now they are apologizing for a segment that aired on Cinco De Mayo that stereotyped Mexicans as crazy drunk people. The irony is that MSNBC is the network that is notorious for calling other people racist and standing on their high horse. Here’s their apology: “On Monday, Cinco De Mayo, ‘Way Too Early’ made sarcastic references to the way some Americans celebrate the holiday. It was not our intention to be disrespectful and we sincerely apologize for the ill-advised references,” MSNBC said in a statement. Of course they don’t take responsibility. It’s the fault of “some Americans” that took it the wrong way. The media formerly known as mainstream strikes again!
If they ‘dare’ even hint that a Mexican may drink on May 5, I wonder what the action/reaction was on Mar 17.
If it is what I think it was, I must have ‘missed’ the apology.
It took nearly 75 years but I am glad these ‘idiots’ woke me to the fact that I should have taken umbrage for lo, these many years.
Now I can bristle when ‘they’ refer to Irish and Sailors when it comes to drunks/reckless spending.
I should have kept a continual ‘mad on’ for 50 years since my weight never topped 150 though I had been 6’ since 21 - thereby when I heard the word Skinny it should have bothered me.
After 50, I stopped drinking, smoking and the little exercise I was doing so I will admit to being a tad or two or three etc over 150 lbs, so now when I hear fatso, or fat ass, I can take proper umbrage- although I just tell people I am ready for Halloween - as a Pirate, and I have the sunken chest to prove it plus I am now equipped with a permanent flotation device where my once svelt 33 waist was.
I still buy 33 pants going on the theory that there is a 33 down there someplace - though I notice the legs are longer than they used to be.
When I was skinny, I had ears that sort of resemble BO’s - the standard Jug Eared type, so I went years not being offended when people mentioned Big Ears.
Thank you PC crowd for NOW I know when to get mad for people making idiotic remarks....

Existentially, there aren’t really any Polish jokes.
When a cow-orker was going to visit family in Maine for the holidays, I armed him with every Polish joke I could think of.
When he got back to work, I asked him how the jokes went over. He told me the family knew EVERY ONE of them — but they’re not Polish jokes; they’re Canuck jokes.

You have ‘forced’ the PC crowd into a conundrum.
If they damn one part of the line, they are ‘dissin’ the rest of it.
Like I said, I have conceded (for brevity) that YES, I am a Racist, Sexist, Homophobe, etc etc (just fill in the blank).
That way when one of ‘them’ accuse me of being a ___________, I just smile and say
“I already told you that, have you nothing else to say”.
Nothing in their ‘manual’ that tells them how to react when ‘we’ don’t cringe in fear lest one of ‘them’ doesn’t like ‘us’.
When I get called the “R” word I reply “I know you are but what am I?” As childish as it sounds, it gets under their thin skin because, more often than not, they are the true bigots who need to project their BS on others instead of facing up to their own personal prejudices.
I don’t know if they can be forced to sell, but maybe the bylaws say they can be banned for life from all cable and satellite networks. ;)
It’s also because they aren’t funny. Ever watch SNL lately? It’s pitiful.
