How would you know?

Does throat cut live chicken taste different that chopped off head chicken?

I bury bacon bits on an islamic pizza dough...just for spite.

So what exactly is halal anyway? I could be crude and suggest something about a chicken and in Imam or something, but that would be wrong. :o)

FWICS, “halal” is food over which Allah’s name has been invoked. Don’t know for sure if that means Christians can’t eat it, since there is an injunction against eating food dedicated to idols in the New Testament.

That’s certainly it’s own kettle of fish.

I once pointed out that factory farming is communistic in its origin. Some FReepers seemed to hold to the notion that it is not and rather capitalistic in nature, even in spite of the fact that its rise coincided with the transfer of farms from unsubsidized independent family operations to government-subsidized “agribusiness”.

I just had a pizza delivered. I doubt that they have any clue as to what halal means, as their are no Muzies here.

Who eats chicken pizza? Disgusting.

Love Pizza Express, though.

It seems to be almost identical to the methods used to slaughter kosher animals, except for the prayers.

What I don’t get is the pizza chain is saying to hell with their non-muslim customers by ONLY serving this halal throat slit slaughtered meat. I’m sure Christians would find that offensive and would never eat it. I cannot believe there is no outrage over this as well as the Subway slap in the face last week in the UK doing the same thing taking ham and bacon off their menu and replacing it with this halal meat crap. Anything that is prayed over with allah akbar I find offensive as it reminds me of the Americans that died by these savages.

you’re still supporting this company? I’d be picketing outside their store with an angry mob and make sure I was armed to the hilt for the oncoming muslim outrage and wait for them to attack which they will.

Oh, dear boy, I should have pointed out that I am on the other side of the world, 12 hours away. Oh, it was pineapple pizza, delivered by guy on motorbike. 120 pesos ($3 including tip). I doubt that they have any clue about “this company”.

Oh ok you said you just ordered a pizza (which I assumed you meant from them) and was sure the delivery guy probavbly wouldn’t know what halal is. Heck if you were in Mexico, there should be no reason anyone would have to know what halal is unless there is a huge luslim population there which I doubt.

Sorry for the confusion. I am in the Philippines.
The pizza shop is not so far from me, but for three bucks, including tip, it is not so bad, even for a little 10 inch pineapple pizza. Nobody here would have any clue about “halal”.

When you said pesos I had no idea you’d be in the philippines. Never knew their currency was based on the spanish peso.

I know nothing about Pizza Express. Our Pizza shop is called Albertos. It is quite convenient if wife is too tired or busy to cook. She calls, and it is here in 30 min. or so.
As for Pesos, The Philippines was under Spanish rule for many years, so that explains “peso”. All of the Roman Catholic churches built during the Spanish era are 300+ years old.
Every town has one. There are a few protestant churches, but they are a very small minority.

All of Islam is evil.

Period.

And sooner or later we’ll have to do something about it.
