Joni Ernst Surges (Senate Conservatives Fund email)

Fellow Conservatives:

Conservative Joni Ernst (R-IA) is gaining momentum in the Republican primary election for U.S. Senate in Iowa.

A new poll released yesterday shows her in the lead by 10 points and just 2 points short of the 35% needed to win the nomination outright.

Joni Ernst also released a new TV ad this week where she rides her Harley Davidson to the gun range for some target practice.

Joni Ernst (R-IA) TV AdErnst “carries more than just lipstick in her purse," a narrator on the ad says, adding that “once she sets her sights on Obamacare, Joni's gonna unload.”

Thanks to your support, Joni Ernst is surging in this critical Senate race.

Unfortunately, this momentum will certainly draw new attacks from her moderate primary opponent, Mark Jacobs (R-IA).

In fact, Jacobs recently launched a new website calling her "AWOL" for missing votes in the Iowa Statehouse when at the exact same time she was commanding our troops in the field with the Iowa National Guard.

Conservatives must work together to make sure Joni Ernst has the resources she needs to overcome these attacks and win this race.

Please make a contribution to Joni Ernst's campaign today.

We cannot allow Mark Jacobs to win this race.

According to Breitbart News, "Former energy executive Mark Jacobs has expressed support for cap and trade, Common Core, the Ryan-Murray budget compromise, and raising the debt ceiling."

The primary in Iowa is June 3rd so we need to act now. Please make a contribution of $5 or more to Joni Ernst's campaign today.

Thank you for standing strong for freedom.

In the June Iowa Primary I am voting for Clovis but if Joni wins I would not be mad and I would vote for her in Nov.

Come on, Iowa! Show some spunk and elect Joni. What a great example she is for capable women in Iowa!

As of now I still see this one going to convention but I hope someone breaks out of the pack. The three viable ones that are conservative are Clovis, Whitaker, and Ernst. Any of them would be great.

From the article:

We cannot allow Mark Jacobs to win this race.

Um ... if Clovis, Whitaker and Ernst are all viable and conservative ... the fact that they are splitting the vote WILL allow Jacobs to win. Just saying.

Not necessarily. Iowa is a little different ballgame than most states. Jacobs doesn’t have much more traction than any of the other. In fact some are saying he’s overplayed his hand and went after it too hard.

I don’t know if any right now have enough to get 35% and avoid this going to convention.

Can you tell us why you’re choosing Clovis over Joni? Just curious.

Who will the Convention choose? I hope there are a lot of women delegates at the Convention.

Can one of you Iowans (is that correct? .... Iowans?) give us any insight as to how you think this might go in the General when Joni is up against the big-time, Personal Injury, trial lawyer Bruce Braley? Is Iowa so “Democrat” that they would elect that imbecile?

I honestly don’t know. We are expecting it to be a wild ride that day.

If Joni has one secret card its that she’s tight with the Branstad people, who are the majority of delegates that will be at the convention. I don’t think that makes her a lock, but it might help her.

The big issue will be money. Towel Boy has lots, and it’s going to take a good fundraising effort to beat him.
