Family members and other supporters took a Nevada rancher's grazing rights fight against the U.S. government to the sheriff in Las Vegas on Friday, filing reports alleging crimes by federal agents against people protesting a roundup of cattle from public land.
Rancher Cliven Bundy wasn't among those who filed handwritten complaints with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department - the agency with jurisdiction over Bundy's ranch in the Bunkerville area and much of Clark County.

It should be noted that Clark County includes Las Vegas.
The sheriff is 99% elected by urban residents. He has no political incentive to take the interests of the few rural voters into consideration.
All someone needs to do is to partially bury a few drums with residual chemicals throughout the property. That’ll condemn that land for a long time.

I believe the Bundy Ranch assault is the latest physical front in the ongoing philosophical war between the increasingly corrupt and collectivist cities and the fierce individualism and love of freedom of those who live on the land about which Mr. Jefferson wrote over 2 centuries ago.
