On May 9th Jack in the Box announced it would "prefer guests not bring their guns inside [Jack in the Box] restaurants."
This announcement comes in response to a Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America (Moms Demand) campaign aimed at securing an all-out gun ban in Jack in the Box corporate stores. Moms Demand also wanted franchises to be pressured into banning guns as well.
Moms Demand started the campaign after customers legally carried their rifles into a Fort Worth, Texas, Jack in the Box last week.

And of course all criminals intent on robbery of such establishments will gladly comply. They always have...right? Sadly naive.
Has anyone tried shooting it?
Shadowstrike, you inpired other questions that armed moms with children will need to be trained to deal with. For example, do moms want only one, or more rounds in their guns?
That question was inspired by a woman who carried a gun with only one round. Her reasoning was that an assailant would probably wrestle the gun from her and use it on her.
Then she was involved in a situation where what she predicted about an assailant getting control of her gun actually happened, but only after she had shot him with the single bullet.
Or should women have at least two rounds in their guns, one round for a warning shot and the other for the assailant if necessary?
And if the guys have to stop and think about the best response to such questions then gun-carrying moms would undoubtedly appreciate their insights.
Again, armed moms w/children need to be trained to separate the gossip from the expert advice concerning how many rounds to carry.
I raised holy hell in a Jack one time, their employees not only didn’t speak English, they were rude and condescending to me and telling me how to speak. I called corporate the next day and told them I was turning them in for hiring illegals. It was CA and they don’t care, but I got a bunch of free food which I gave to my daughter.
“Her reasoning was that an assailant would probably wrestle the gun from her and use it on her.”
That woman has watched too many Lifetime movies.
Did you read beyond that? Woman testified that she was later attacked and assailant took the single bullet before he got gun.
They went out of business here and aren’t missed.
I’ve had IN-n-Out and I know why it’s called that.
In through mouth and out like hot lead. :)
The Burger King in Canada does great burgers.
“BK blows.”
“In-n-Out Burger. Carl’s/Hardees”
I agree. Try eating a bite of the burger without a bun or condiments. You’ll really taste the difference.
I roll past that building on my way to Fry’s. Too bad for them. I carry when I’m home in Idaho. Jack’s was an option before this announcement. No big deal. They don’t want my business. We only have two in town. The new Carl’s Jr has better burgers anyway.
Well, then, Eff Jack in the Box.
Jonty30,
ya ought to try one of mine cooked on my Big Green Egg.
Burger noodle sucks.
You’re right, but there breakfasts are good and served 24/7
Whatever just happened to just
NO Shirt
NO Shoes
NO Service
If you aren’t teaching your kids not to play with your guns then you should not own then. If you can’t trust your kids that much perhaps you need kid raising classes and not gun classes. It is pretty darn easy to keep small kids out of guns, and the older ones should be trained in their use.
I have been yelled at before for saying this in the past, but some gun owners display rude gun behaviour. The fact that Jack in the Box has refused to respond with the no-guns sign really is a win for our side and in my opinion, their response has been reasonable.
I’d post a sign that says “CCHL Holders WELCOME”.
Long ago a now old hippy friend worked at Jack and said he spit on every single Jack burger. That with the chain nick-name “Jack in the crack”, I still will go buy Dollar store Chinese dog food before I can stop at Jack.
Nothing beats Whataburger as far as chain restaurants go.
Concealed means concealed. I carry mine everywhere and nobody is the wiser.
