self fulfilling prophesy?
Agreed.
My Sons are eleven and thirteen.
When I started carrying, I made them watch whenever I slapped on my sidearm(s) to learn and note how it’s done.
Now, it’s like putting on my shoes to them.
If I have time to get one bullet into an attacker I have time to get three or four. I’m not going to hope that a single bullet will stop the bad guy.
I carry because I have a small child and can’t stop a determined kidnapper any other way . I also teach her not to touch guns and keep them away from her fingers.
Rule number one: No warning shots. We don’t (at least we didn’t USED to) in the military.
Rule Number two: shoot to kill. If you wound them, they WILL sue you for everything you have. Also, expect that their family will sue you, but you could counter sue them.
Rule number three: If they are dead, you can be sure that no other woman will have to deal with the lowlife.
Rule number four: God will not hold you accountable for taking that life, as (nowadays) they almost certainly will kill you rather than leave a witness.
As to your question about how many rounds, the women in my family keep theirs fully loaded, as a woman can get away with saying that they panicked and the gun just kept firing, but if you have small children (as my youngest cousin does) only you can answer the question.
Hope that helps.
