What gives Boko Haram its strength
CNN ^ | May 11, 2014 | Joel Gehrke

(CNN) -- The Islamist terrorist organization Boko Haram has been active as a violent group since 2009 and in recent months has killed Nigerians, both Christian and Muslim, at rates frequently exceeding a hundred people weekly.

It is puzzling how little attention this has received in world media, especially in comparison to, say, the attack of Islamist militants on the mall in Kenya in September, resulting in 67 dead.

That is, until now. The abduction of a reported 276 schoolgirls from Chibok village in the northeastern Borno state has shocked people around the world. A deeper examination of Boko Haram provides a revealing prism of the conflict in Nigeria.

Boko Haram translates as "Western education is sin." Rarely has the name of a terrorist organization revealed so much, but it does in ways beyond the surface interpretations sometimes portrayed in the media.

In Boko Haram, we see a total storm coming together: Globalization has brought Western ideas and imagery, especially around issues of women and sexuality, into the most patriarchal corners of the world. Globalization, through Internet and broader interconnectedness, has facilitated and favored global ideologies, including globalized versions of Islam, some of which are extremist.

What gives Boko Haram strength is the same thing that gave the Somali Pirates strength. If enough nations have patience, they can coordinate their actions and obliterate these morons. That being said, another group will take their place.

What gives Boko Haram its strength is a high birthrate and single-minded focus; the West has had neither in decades.

“Globalization has brought Western ideas and imagery, especially around issues of women and sexuality, into the most patriarchal corners of the world.”

Translate: Its our fault

“has facilitated and favored global ideologies, including globalized versions of Islam, some of which are extremist.”

ISLAM is extremist. NO OTHER “religion” spawns this crap, and NOT ONE SINGLE MUSLIM LEADER has yet to condemn it.

“The impact of Wahhabi Islam, actively promoted by Saudis and Gulf Arabs,”

TRUE. And they are doing it HERE and the rest of the West as well as OTHRE parts of Africa and Asia.

“The Christian South in Nigeria is much more prosperous than the Muslim North, and that economic gap is growing rapidly. The roots go back to the British colonial period from the late 19th century to independence in 1960. The British ruled the South directly,”

And what does THAT tell you? Islamic rule CREATES poverty, violence and ignorance.
Even after Islam is successfully expelled, its evil influence lingers – i.e. the Balkans.

“Some have claimed that Muslim education, properly taught, would provide an inoculation against extremism. But that debate lost sight of a larger issue, whatever the theology of such schools. The graduates of those schools are often adrift in globalized economies without marketable skills and modern education, and more vulnerable to at least tolerating extremism.”

Sure. And WHY does this not happen in WESTERN schools where the same problem exists for recent graduates??

“Likewise, the leaders believe that the West wants to replace proper gender roles with sexual permissiveness.”

Like allowing women to reject sexual serfdom.

“Secular subjects like chemistry, physics, engineering, meteorological explanations of rain, the theory of evolution are all denounced as contrary to the Quran.”

Since they are based on logic and reason, this is true and it says more about Islam’s twisted mentality.

“Equally significantly, religiosity as such does not necessarily bring with it a tendency to back Boko Haram. The issue is the education system, not religious belief.”

Bull$*** like the rest of this idiotic analysis, designed, once again, to exculpate Islam and its adherents from their guilt in creating the worse plague to ever visit mankind.

Your two sentences say more than a thousand CNN articles on the subject.

Boko Haram gets its strength from Allah, and Allah is just another name for Satan.

More importantly, WHO here in the State Department, gave Boko Haram its status of invisibility when it was easily viewed as a major terrorist group?

The only way to deal with organizations like Boko Haram is by exterminating them.
Hunt them down and kill every single one of them. No quarter, no prisoners, no mercy, just kill each and every one of them.

“Islamic rule creates poverty, violence and ignorance.”

Islamic rule and Progressive rule; in bed together and smoking cigarettes.

IMHO

An obvious concept that even the most enlightened cannot seem to understand.

I would estimate that this correct solution is accepted as the only effective deterrent to these murderous thugs by less than 1% of the population.

So it’s poverty. LOL!!!

There are BILLIONS of poor people in the world that DO NOT kill 100 innocent civilians every week, nor kidnap hundreds of school girls. Take away the poverty excuse and there is only ONE ANSWER.

But the blame will ALWAYS be thrown back in our faces...always.

Physics, engineering, meteorological explanations of rain are rejected by progressives who would rather believe it's all co2, are rather religious about it, are are willing to fight and even kill to put their policies in place. No wonder they find common ground with Moslems.

Boko Haram needs to be dealt with in the same manner the British did with the Thugee cult. It took the Brits 75 years, but they wiped them out.

No greater truth has ever been spoken.

For those who don’t believe your solution works, answer one question.

When was the last time the world had a problem out of the Carthaginians?
