Rising U.S. economy could help Democrats stave off election loss

Here's a riddle: Many Republicans deny it's happening. Some Democrats don't want to talk about it. What is it?

The answer is the growing U.S. economy, on pace to expand as much as 3.5 percent this year, about the best performance in the industrialized world. Unemployment has fallen from 10 percent to about 6.3 percent and consumer confidence is at a six-year high.

Better economic data could help persuade voters in November to look past President Barack Obama's weak approval ratings and his unpopular healthcare law and give Democrats enough lift to hold onto the Senate and limit their losses in the House, political strategists said.

Here, this dweeb is foretelling 3.5% growth and last week, the other dweeb was forced to acknowledge a 0.5% minus growth in 1st quarter GDP for 2014.

If the economy was growing and the democrats didn’t want to talk about it, than I would guess that the growth was a consequence of some part of the economy that the democrats had been trying to kill.

Just because the MSM says its so doesn’t mean it’s the truth, especially if you look at the reported findings in context. The MSM has succeeded in becoming the most untrustworthy source for truthful and unbiased news. The truth is no longer in them; they’ve become the propaganda directorate of FedGov.

This isn’t 1996, where BJ Clinton can point to Bush I’s accomplishments and claim credit. If there is any improvement, most of the country hasn’t seen it; in the pockets where it exists, it is directly as a result of Republicans lowering taxes.

Really? cut off unemployment benefits and see the actual rate. Many people on the benefits aren't looking for work and thus not counted.

I personally find it terrifying that we now live in a country where this has become standard news. The outright dishonesty to influence behavior (including racial violence), the use of the IRS or other law enforcement arms to stifle opposition, the surveillance used to spy on us (but not the Tsarnev brothers plotting the Boston Marathon Jihad)...terrifying.

Yeah I know a lot of people that have lost their jobs this past year many long time employees because of Obamacare. If the media reports wages are up they need to note that the price of everything has risen substantially and that the wage increase is actually a decrease in buying power because of inflation. Think we’ll ever ear that side of the story? Don’t hold your breath...
