Talking to NBC sportscaster Bob Costas on Monday's NBC Today, co-host Matt Lauer reacted to openly gay football player Michael Sam being drafted by the St. Louis Rams on Saturday: "The big picture here in terms of the NFL, is this a sea change or is this a one-off? Is this the league moving to the right side of history? Which by the way, they really can't do unless more players come forward."
NFL is history. just like the whig party, british colonies, buggy whip makers, poop street sweepers, ice wagons, milk man, and on and on.
The NFL killed themselves just like the boy scouts.
Matt needs to get on “the right side of history” and divorce his wife and “marry” a guy. Then he can pontificate to the rest of us about the “right side of history”. Until then, STFU.

he only way to fight back against the NFL is not to support them by refusing to buy tickets, and turning off TV on Sunday afternoon and evenings. Find something else to do.
There is nothing macho about sitting on a sofa munching chips and sipping suds. On Sunday afternoons, get outside with the kids or your buddies and play softball, volleyball - go hiking or cycling - that’s what real men do!!!

Just curious. Has anyone here ever extended their hand to say they were glad to meet someone, then ask them what their sexual preference was?
IMO, Michael Sam knew he doesn't have what it takes to play in the NFL. He has the speed of a lineman and the size of a linebacker. The NFL wants the opposite in a draftee. So he plays the "I'm gay" card to become a member of a protected class. Like the last resort for an actor whose career is fading. Or a corrupt NJ Governor who hired his boyfriend to head up security.
The rest of the world responds with: "Who the f*ck cares? Shut up and play football."
