Lesbian Houston Mayor Promotes Ordinance to Allow Men in Women’s Restrooms

HOUSTON – The Houston City Council is currently considering an ‘equal rights’ ordinance which would allow men and women to use restrooms and shower rooms designated for the opposite sex, as long as they identify with the opposite gender.

Houston Mayor Annise Parker, an open lesbian, is promoting an “Equal Rights Ordinance” designed to quell any discrimination in America’s fourth largest city—including any discrimination on the basis of “gender identity.”

“Gender identity means an individual’s innate identification, appearance, expression or behavior as either male or female,” the most recent ordinance draft states, “although the same may not correspond to the individual’s body or gender as assigned at birth.”

Many people are especially concerned by the “Public Accommodations” section of the ordinance, which would allow men to use women’s restrooms, and vice versa, if they identity with the opposite sex.

“It shall be unlawful for any place of public accommodation or any employee or agent thereof to intentionally deny any person entry to any restroom, shower room, or similar facility if that facility is consistent with and appropriate to that person’s expression of gender identity,” the ordinance states.

“Gender identity means an individual’s innate identification, appearance, expression or behavior as either male or female...”

Hang on for a second....so all I had to tell the draft board lady in '68 was that I "identified" as a woman and no SGT King or SSG Freuhauf calling me a worthless piece of **** at 0430?

This woman isn’t an alien invader from outer space - she was chosen by a majority of voters (or quite a lot anyway, perhaps with the help of a bit of corruption)

Either way, her views are not that different from the society that chose her. In sum, you get the government you deserve.

I cannot understand why any man wants some strange female to gawk at their member and privates. Seinfeld had a piece of this….stretching naked…..good, crouching naked bad………And then of course there is the comparative analysis of one to another. Why can’t we all just use the restroom to micturate and defecate. Must it become an exhibition chamber too?

Stupid ordinance.

That said, women and men can already do this with or without an ordinance and with or without dressing as a the opposite sex.

For women, just because it says WOMEN on the door, don’t assume anything. A man could come in there anytime, or already be in there waiting. I’m surprised at how many women seem to trust that a sign is going to stop someone from entering a woman’s restroom.

Be prepared.

The sign on the door means nothing at a major event where women drink lots of beer. The lines to the women’s restrooms get long, so the women just go into the men’s restrooms.

Of course. The American populace back then was led by people with morals, responsibility, and common-sense. Even in their wildest imaginations, they could never conceive of such examples of sheer insanity. Insanity tied to sheer degeneracy.

I can just imagine describing the reality of what is now America-2014 to my late grandfather, and there is no way on earth he’d believe me. Not even remotely close. He’d view it as some sick, depraved, dystopian sci-fi opus, and likely chew me out for even having such a sick brain to contemplate such a thing!

Sick, sick, sick. That’s America-2014.

Very true.
For the vast majority of women and all children of either sex, they should presume any public restroom/dressing room is always a potentially dangerous place.

In Florida, the discount retail store “Ross” allows men into the women's dressing rooms, but people don't know that untill they run across the situation, and are corrected by store staff for voicing their displeasure.

All newly constructed US Navy ships do not have urinals.

I guess this is so seawomen aren’t intimidated or made to feel different when they have to go.

Wish this was satire, but its not.

There is a retailer here that does not segregate dressing rooms, but relies on people closing the door and having discretion. They have Peeping Tom issues about once a month.

What about all the normal women who identify as female having to endure a ‘gender-confused man’ entering into their bathrooms or their showers.

If I had daughters in HS or college, I would be very, very concerned for their safety. Normal people’s feelings are never considered when liberal make their insane rulings.

I remember being in a bar in Paris about 30 years ago, and the restroom was coed. I remember standing there taking a leak and some gal comes in to was her hands in the sink right next to me. Didn’t seem to bother her in the least, but it took a little effort on my part to try and ignore her and be nonchalant.

Austin is not where you want to be! It’s bizarre. They made a big deal out of a gay man being elected to the city council back in the early 90s. I knew a loan officer who did a loan for the guy he was getting paid lots of money sitting on boards of huge companies.

Unfortunately this issue is only a small part of the changes you will see occur if this ordinance passes. Anyone will be able to complain of anything they “feel” is discrimination and they will be called in front of a tribunal and when found guilty they will be heavily fined.

IMO there would be absolutely no reason for anyone to do business in Houston ever again. Too big a risk. Mayor Porker is taking the city down.
