The real question is why the U.S. government is involved in Ukraine in the first place.

Germany’s former Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder has blamed European Union policy for the current situation in Ukraine and urged the West to stop focusing on new sanctions against Russia.

In Schroeder’s opinion, the EU’s fundamental mistake - that subsequently led to the ongoing crisis in Ukraine – was its association policy, he said in an interview with German newspaper Welt am Sonntag published Sunday.

Brussels “ignored” Ukraine’s deep cultural division between traditionally pro-European western regions and Russia-leaning regions in the east, the former chancellor said.

Kiev, however, had to pick either an association with the EU or a Customs Union with Russia, Schroeder said. He suggested that it could have been more reasonable if the former Soviet republic was offered an alternative when it could do both...

In order to believe that Vladimir Putin is anything other than the heroic figure he appears to be, you need to believe that Bork Obunga, the Rothschilde family, George Soros, Victoria Nuland, John (the gigolo) Kerry, Hillary KKKlintler, and every other one of the "neocvon(TM)" fools in our state department are all good people, which is ridiculous.

No you don't. The fact that Hitler was a monster didn't make Stalin a nice guy.

So for you, Putin isn’t on a mission from God, like Buchanan says, but he is Ronald Reagan. Interesting. As for Obama, he’s irrelevant.

You’re missing the point that the previous Ukrainian administration was corrupt beyond belief. The president and his ministers may have stolen billions. If you’ve seen the pictures of their estates on the internet, there is no way they paid for all that with their salaries.

One of the cobs up Putin’s butt is the fact he’s the ring leader of a similar corrupt government with unimaginable wealth for a few. A big part of Putin’s angst is preventing his own subjects from getting ideas if the popular outrage against his Ukrainian buddy, ex-presidente Yonukovych spreads to Russia. He’s managed to subvert Russian public opinion by playing on patriotism. The Russian disinformation has served him well seeing it has been rebroadcast as truth by many of the Western media.

The life expectancy of Russians is such that their language will die before Polish. They’re a nation of drunks led by a small clique of thugs.

The “end game” is a lot bigger than just Ukraine.

The Obama Administration destabilized Ukraine as a way to put pressure on Putin, after Syria.

The logic being that a distracted Putin allows Obama to help Al Qaeda win in Syria, which allows the Saudi’s to build that pipeline to Europe they want so badly, before the South Stream Project gets built.

As usual, it has backfired on them.

Take note that the Kiev coup government has at NO point, has made any effort to negotiate with the rebels. This is obviously being driven from DC, as events have shown.

Community organizers don’t negotiate. They intimidate and bully to get their way. This has been the Obama Administrations M.O. from the start.

You missed my point completely.

As for Obama, he’s irrelevant.

I wish that were the case. Unfortunately, in this situation his administration is dealing the cards from the American side -- even though he's got all the credibility and moral authority of a cockroach.

“the previous Ukrainian administration was corrupt beyond belief.”

And so was the one before that.
And the one before that....

Ukraine has been a mafia-state kleptocracy masquerading as a nation since its inception.

“As for Osama bin Laden, whom our Navy Seals dispatched last spring, Ron Paul criticized the one decision that Barack Obama got right. Paul said he would not have authorized the mission, arguing that killing bin Laden was unnecessary and that he has “respect for the rule of law.” “

He’s a clown.
