Don’t confront strangers. You know nothing about them. Sure if they’re attacking you by all means defend yourself or run, but for simply bumping into them in a crowd? I just would just mumble excuse me and move on.
Even in stand your ground states it looks bad when you basically started the confrontation.
That's a common practice, walking "thru" you and forcing you to step aside.
Several years back a similar situation happened to me at my local Meijer store. I was walking a main aisle way with a hand basket full of foodstuff when I saw three black girls coming from the opposite direction, laughing and joking with no cart and no baskets.
As they approached, they kept angling towards me in an attempt to force me against the food shelves in order to allow them to pass by. It didn't work out as they planned.
Since I was as far right as I could go against the shelving, I swung my hand basket back and brought it forward to clobber the knee of the gal that was closest and about to brush me. That sent off a wail and after apologizing, I went on my way..........
