IMPORTANT GOP House Primary Races: And How You Can Help (California)

Posted on 05/13/2014 2:53:40 PM PDT by campaignPete R-CT

California (Rest of the country is in separate threads, see links below)

There are numerous important House Primary Races! And places where we can WIN! PLEASE contribute! And if you can't contribute money ... the least we can do is go to their pages and give them a "like" or a tweet. All of these candidates are involved in primaries that are close (or could be close) against generally more moderate or liberal Republicans. All of these districts are winnable in November.

California:
Igor Birman, CAL-7, JUNE 3rd .... Sacramento County. DEM incumbent is Bera

Endorsed by: Sen. Mike Lee, Rand Paul, Family Research Council, Gun Owners of America, FreedomWorks

Igor Birman -- FACEBOOK -- TWITTER -- DONATE

Birman is running behind former GOP Congressman Doug Ose, but is building support. Ose had excellent ratings from NARAL-Planned Parenthood and was frequently criticized by gun rights groups. Another Conservative, Elizabeth Emken appears to be stuck in single-digit support.

Family Research Council: “Igor Birman’s positions on the issues of the family and religious liberty are to be commended. His invaluable experience living under an oppressive regime makes him uniquely qualified to defend our cherished rights and values. As someone who knows first-hand the dangers of a government unaware of its limitations, we believe Mr. Birman will defend the Constitution in a manner consistent with his experience. We are confident that Mr. Birman will continue to be a strong advocate for limited government, for individual and religious liberties and for family values.”

KIRK JORGENSEN, CAL-52, JUNE 3rd ... San Diego. DEM incumbent is Peters

Endorsed by: Brian Brown of National Org. for Marriage, Duncan L. Hunter

Kirk Jorgensen -- FACEBOOK -- TWITTER -- DONATE

Jorgensen, pro-life, pro-marriage, pro-2ndAmendment, is the underdog. Jorgensen's GOP opponent, Carl DeMaio, is a strong supporter of "same-sex marriage" and is "pro-choice" and DeMaio is the favorite to win and, thus, continue his campaign to November. The other Republican, Dr. Fred Simon has been reported in the press to be "pro-choice" and a supporter of "same-sex Marriage". Simon appears to rarely brings those issues up.

Former Congressman Duncan Hunter: "Kirk hunted war criminals—terrible people who committed genocide by killing their own citizens in Bosnia. When elected, Kirk will be the only member of Congress who has been a CIA Case Officer."

Lesli Gooch, CAL-31, June 3rd ... San Bernardino County. 2 CONSERVATIVES trying to get into the run-off in this OPEN SEAT.

Endorsed by: Rep. Gary Miller, CA-31, Rep. Dana Rohrabacher, CA-48
Paul Chabot, CAL-31, June 3rd ... San Bernardino County. 2 CONSERVATIVES trying to get into the run-off in this OPEN SEAT.
Endorsed by: Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association, International Faith Based Coalition

Lesli Gooch

Paul Chabot

Paul Chabot -- FACEBOOK -- TWITTER -- DONATE

Conservatives Gooch and Chabot need to get into the November run-off in this crowded "top-two" primary. It is possible that they will both fall a bit short, and NOV will be a DEM vs. DEM contest, giving the DEMS a pick-up of retiring Miller's seat. The DEM vote is split multi-way, so these 2 conservatives have a shot at victory.

Justin Fareed, CAL-24, JUNE 3rd .... Santa Barbara area. DEM incumbent is Capps

Justin Fareed -- FACEBOOK -- TWITTER -- DONATE

Fareed appears to be the only Republican with a chance to beat Republican Chris Mitchum. Mitchum is running as a tea party candidate, has a "pro-choice" position, but opposes "same-sex marriage". Readers will have to make their own assessment of whether Mitchum needs to be defeated in this primary.

Mitchum: "Republicans, and only Republicans, constantly loose elections cutting each other to ribbons over social issues. This race will determine the future and direction of our country and of liberty. It is too important to loose and social issues must take a back seat in this one." Project Vote Smart

Fareed: "Today, our freedoms and privacy constantly are under attack, both by the government and by private entities. Federal bureaucracies are collecting vast amounts of data and storing it on everything from our health care records, to the choices we make, to our spending habits. Corporations are doing the same."

You can make phone calls if you are out of state. Get a Wal-Mart Verizon pre-pay phone for $15 and put the right area code on it.

CALIFORNIA: All primaries are “top-two” .... 2 top finishers regardless of party will be on ballot in NOV.

Does not California have a new law that says an election or primary cannot be uncontested?

If so then maybe conservatives should start running in democratic primaries. Espouse whatever leftist line it takes to win the primary and then vote like a conservative if elected. More than that change some laws and redraw voting districts.

If nothing else it might get rid of some long time idiots in the state legislature.

Igor Birman is the conservative.

The other Republican in the race is Chamber endorsed.

Not sure how you force someone to file, so not sure of what the answer is.

Mao, everybody is on the same ballot in CALI primaries ... all DEMS and all GOPers. But yes, in some districts it would be better to support a conservative DEM in the primary, get him on the NOV ballot by winning, and the in the DEM vs DEM election .... Republicans and conservative vote for the conservative DEM.
