Federal tax revenues continue to run at a record pace in fiscal 2014, as the federal governments total receipts for the fiscal year closed April at $1,735,030,000,000, according to the Monthly Treasury Statement.
Despite this record revenue, the federal government still ran a deficit of $306.411 billion in the first seven months of the fiscal year, which began on Oct. 1, 2013 and will end on Sept. 30, 2014.

A large percentage of that money to be wasted on BS taken from taxpayers who are payinhpg more percentage wise than they ever have before (tax deductions taken away is still a tax increase no matter what unicorn fairy magic dust spin they put on it)...
The truly obscene thing is that fewer than half of all Americans pay any federal tax; the rest ride free.

Economy in the tank, yet record tax revenue, things that make you go Hmm. Can’t be any correlation.
The notion we cannot balance the budget today is a lie perpetuated by politicians of both political parties. The revenue exists for a balanced budget. It is the lack of will to prioritize and control spending that prevents us from having a fiscally sound government and strong economy.
Congressional leaders and Obama are scrambling to get it spent.
With all the tax increases on the 1 percenters and others why should this be a surprise.
Think of all the jobs and economic growth that $1.75 TRILLION would have funded if it hadn’t been forcibly confiscated.
