I thought we already funded “shovel ready” jobs.
Meanwhile he’s trying to force Rick Snyder to give Detroit unions $100 million out of infrastructure funding at the same time he’s withholding $250 million needed to prepare our side of the Detroit river for the bridge Canada wants to build.
Been there, done that. We, the tax-paying public, already paid once for shovel ready jobs, no need to pay twice. And no need to simply print money to pay either.
I recently passed a street repair - a backhoe was digging and 6 men surrounding the hole leaning on their shovels. That's been usual experience on road work I see around here - 4 or five idlers per every one actually working.
Contrast that with the roofing crew I watched at my Mama's yesterday. Six man crew - constantly at work. Stayed busy and productive from dawn to dark with only a one hour lunch break. Every man had a job to do, knew how to do it, and got after it. All day long.
Republicans should be on every show saying WHERE THE HELL DID THE STIMULUS $$$$$ GO!?!?!?

What happened to the first $2.5 billion ?
Maybe “O” can try to sell us the Brooklyn bridge... he’ll be there and can use the photo op to get it done!! :)

Roads are not fixed because politicians need the money for other stuff.
We’ve been down that path, Obie. Remember... all those “shovel-ready” jobs that received all those tax dollars back in 2009 and 2010?

Obama’s future plans include a call for sweeping federalization of the US health insurance system by implementing an affordable care act, followed by the enaction of a major overhaul of the US health insurance system in the name of affordable care. After that, he plans to enact federal laws to govern the nation’s health insurance system.
Yeh what happened to the first $600 billion?
I can tell you what happened to some of it. Lawrenceville Highway which runs past my SD is a perfectly fine 4 lane road. No potholes etc. They repaved the whole section near us and changed the lanes and turn areas so now you can only turn into our SD going one way. If you are going the wrong way you have to go down to the intersection turn left and then another left into the other end of the SD. So now its worse.
During the construction phase the work crews getting the shovel ready jobs consisted of one white guy (American) and a crew of illegal alien Hispanics.
Same thing that will happen to any “new” money -
it’ll end up in the pockets of democrat donors.
Yet no one will follow up his proposal with an inquiry of where the stimulus funds were spent. It was sold as infrastructure improvements, but it appears nothing was improved....
