Eyewitness accounts
Eyewitness Michael Shelley told KOIN 6 News on Sunday he saw Ford standing in front of a streetlight when she was shot. Shelley said he doesnt believe he saw her holding a gun.
I just watched. I was mesmerized, he said. He saw Ford standing across the street from his house after wrestling with a Salem police officer.
They asked me if I saw a weapon at all. I said, it couldnt have been on the right side. (That side was lit by the streetlight.) I couldnt see anything on the left side.

She also said investigators arent giving her much information.
I just want to know what happened. They wont tell me anything, she said.
To me, it doesnt seem right. I mean, how she was a threat to this officer.
Mark Sharp, who lives near the site of the shooting, said he saw Ford run across the street and wrestle with officers.
Thats when I hear a mans voice yelling stop, stop, stop, he told KOIN 6 News on Saturday.
I hear pop-pop-pop and Im, like, wait a minute. I saw him standing over her and smoke was rising up from the firearm, he said.

Crystal Ford also met with Sharp on Sunday when she dropped off some flowers at the spot where her daughter was shot.
Its very inhumane, she said. Theres no justification for that. I dont understand that at all.
Morrison, a 12-year veteran of the force, is on administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation. Neither he nor his K-9 partner, Baco, were hurt in the chase.
The Oregon State Police Major Crimes Division is leading the investigation.
Elsewhere it says she was a veteran...
Doesn't necessarily mean she wasn't a crook and a meth addict.Tim McVeigh was a veteran too.Major Hassan was active duty. Not *all* veterans are respectable people.
Pulled over for turning without giving a signal. Then found out vehicle was unregistered, no driver’s license and gave police fake name.
She ran, police used K-9 who dropped her. She had a loaded gun which she kept trying to cock.
She had felony warrants and a meth possession infraction.
Somewhere said she was military but understand there was a unpleasant discharge from military but can’t find news on that ..
Yet.
Pulled over for failing to use a turn signal. Vehicle not registered. No license. Wanted for burglary and meth possession. Associated with the Gypsy Jokers motorcycle gang.
Then the witness is a lier. Big difference between standing by a light pole and fighting a K9 and trying to cock a gun.
Cops didn’t get the memo... It’s Salem... where they throw witches in the drink because, as everyone knows, witches are made of wood so upon floating and being proven to be witches, they may be properly burned at the stake. Oh wait... not the same Salem. Nevermind.
jail records show that she had been held in the Multnomah County Jail as recently as late February.
Oh. Thanks. More here than in the first article... a lot more.
Thanks for the update. I have to believe she had a semi auto and she was not familiar with its operation. If she had a revolver, she merely needed to point and pull the trigger.
But who is making that claim? The witness apparently saw no gun. If she were doing that, he’d likely have seen the weapon. A person cocking a gun isn’t usually hard to spot.
Remember that cops will easily make crap up when they screw up or over react. Did you catch the article on the cop who shot a guy holding a knife? Cop claimed he lunged that them. Video showed the cop was full of shit.
Good luck reading the article.
This actually sounds like a righteous shoot. Eyewitness testimony isn’t the most reliable thing. Bad light, fast action, lots of stress. Gun found on the scene. Yeah, I guess it could be a throw down, but you’ll never prove it.
“Then the witness is a lier. Big difference between standing by a light pole and fighting a K9 and trying to cock a gun.”
Or the cops are lying. Did you consider that possibility? It wouldn’t be a first for LE to lose control and then lie about it.
No criticism of the knights of the realm, peasant,
Know your place. </sarc>
There is a photo of her but I am unable to transfer it.
Transfer it where? Where did you get the pic?
What I meant was that I am unable to copy and paste the picture at the link.
