Who's really driving the Hillary train?
Yahoo News ^ | 5/15/14 | Matt Bai

Perhaps you've noticed that Democrats in Washington get a little touchy these days where Hillary Clinton is concerned. A few weeks ago, I had the temerity to suggest that Clinton wouldn't be able to run unopposed for the Democratic nomination. This prompted an immediate response in the Daily Beast from Bob Shrum, the venerable party strategist, who argued that of course Clinton would easily clear the Democratic field and waltz to the nomination, because her situation so closely resembles that of Ulysses Grant in 1868. I'm not making this up.

All this defensiveness leads me to think that a lot of commentators are confused about what's going on with Clinton's political future right now. We think what we're seeing is an elaborate campaign, directed by Hillary, to lock down the 2016 nomination and solidify her image as a leader. But in reality, this isn't emanating from Clinton, and it has nothing to do with voters. What we're really looking at is a campaign orchestrated by nervous Democrats and aimed at persuading Clinton herself.

The title is kind of skeevy of it's own accord but I know how the Mods disdain any alterations...

Well, she does have a better mustache...

Dems are a little touchy about HIllary THESE DAYS?

These two (bulbous nose bill has been exhumed for the cause, heck MONICA’s been exhumed for the cause!) have been protected by a touchy fan base acting like a family of abused helpless children of a violent alcoholic since 1991, when they stepped onto the scene, as the Arkansans did before then

Pray for Trey Gowdy. He’s going to tackle this situation as he sees it, but the truth has always been covered up for the Clinton’s as they have demanded of their minions, and that includes their electorat, the press and everyone in between

Trey is going to be met with a pushback that should be reminiscent of Bastogne in the winter of 1944

Touchy lately?

Do journalists have ANY idea of recent history?

What we're really looking at is a well-oiled campaign orchestrated by nervous Dems, aimed at persuading Clinton herself.....to enter the 2016 race.

Mmmmmmm.......that does ring true.

I woulda liked to have been a fly on the wall at the Four Seasons lounge when loyal Dummycrats hatched the plan over room temperature Brie and chilled Kristal.

Course, there was a lot of grumbling as Dummies realized the terrible burden they carry---knowing what's best for the rest of us peons.

But the Dummies soldier on. Lock-stepping party loyalty never falters....as 1930's-era Europe taught us.

Herself, Madame Benghazi, the Cold & Joyless was supposed to “waltz” to the nomination in 2008, too, when this almost complete neophyte, a gadfly who had only a very sketchy record, came along and purloined the crown before the coronation.

Lucy could snatch away the football once again...

And it would still be funny. In a couple of different meanings.

This is what I was thinking. To say nothing of how funny it is that this speaks volumes of what the Dem leadership thinks of Biden.

Seriously, has a sitting VP ever been written off so badly before in recent history. (Dan Quayle maybe - but he never tried to run)

And Dan Quayle is a very intelligent man. He would have made an excellent leader!

It is funny how completely on the pay-no-mind list Biden finds himself. In politics, it is rare that a legitimate idiot is so universally recognized as such.

When Hillary bows out, gracefully like a hippo, the whole party is going to act like the final parade scene in Animal House.

Once the smoke clears, they'll settle on some goofball that appeals to the moonbat MSNBC faithful. Early smoke signals point towards Fauxcahontas.

"her situation so closely resembles that of Ulysses Grant in 1868."

Grant supposedly went through over a dozen cigars a day.

So that is something Grant and the Clintons have in common.

We’re supposed to be afraid of her. We’re supposed to feel sorry for her. She’s one of the most coldly calculating people the human race has ever produced. She has all the warmth and charm of a blind rattlesnake.

From Dems perspective if Hillary runs then there is NO Dem primary fight and Hillary gets to run unopposed much like Obama did in 2012, and save her $$$ to trash the surviving GOP nominee, after he is beat to death by the others.

When I see Christie, Rubio, Jeb, Ryan, Paul, even Romney .... all jumping on TV talking like they are making a pitch for that job, it reminds me of the ugly slugfest in 2012 between Bachman, Cain, Santurum, Newt and of course our favorite Romney, all while Obama waited on the sideline with all that $$$ to nuke the final survivor.

Those 2012 GOP candidates were all very weak to start with, and this bloody fight just made Obama’s dreams come true.

(Of course the architect Karl Rove, Dick Morris, Rush and Romney all said they were sure of a GOP victory. Definitely compasses pointing everywhere but North)

The hard core left is not going to give Hillary a pass. They don't like her much, (just more than every Republican and most Nazis who ever lived).

She's not moonbatty enough and they want the full bat. She'll have a primary challenger if she runs.

"a gadfly who had only a very sketchy record, came along and purloined the crown"

By choosing the gadfly the Dims showed that they lacked judgement, political and other, in equal measure with the RINOS. Gadfly has shown himself to be totally lacking in any subject whatsoever (except maybe in which direction TOTUS lies).

So far no Democrat is talking like they want to oppose her, Liz Warren is saying 'no way ' to the left's pleas to her to take on Hillary, but on the GOP side they are all lining up:

I forgot Santorum on the current list of those talking like they are ready to duke it out:

Democrats don’t have a ‘fall back’ person.... they’ve already trashed Biden... if not Hillary who could they run?
