Jeb Bush praises Lyndon B. Johnson: ‘He did what leaders do’
The Washington Times ^ | May 15, 2014 | Jessica Chasmar

Jeb Bush hasn’t announced whether he’s decided to run for president in 2016, but the former Florida governor has promised that if he does he will strive to govern like former Democratic President Lyndon B. Johnson. Speaking at Saint Leo University in San Antonio, Fla., the Republican praised Mr. Johnson last February, not for his “Great Society” programs that conservatives blame for significantly expanding the size and scope of the federal government, but for his forceful, hands-on leadership, The Miami Herald reported at the time.

Johnson was known for distributing briefcases full of cash to pricinct leaders to ensure Democrat votes came in in the numbers Johnson wanted. He’s also known as a quitter. I don’t think Jeb wants people to associate him with that, does he?

Yes you could say LBJ has had some tough competition in recent years.

WJC sitting in the Oral Office with his trousers down as the young intern was nestled underneath his desk servicing him as he chatted on the phone. Then cramming a cigar up her private parts.

Not to mention all of the women he attacked including Juanita Broadderick, Paula Jones, and Kathleen Willey.

Jen wants to be Hillary’s vice-president . He heard Rove say she’s in poor health. It’s his only hope of being President.

” That might excite some Republicans...or democrats “

I know some die hard democrats who were singing the praises of Jeb recently. They called him the “Smart and Reasonable Bush”, no doubt the liberal rags out there have been saying good things here and there and about the “Jeb-ster” recently...

Jeb the @$$hole Bush ought to study history before he praises a mutt like LBJ. Using the Gulf of Tonkin to ratchet up Viet Nam is something that shouldn’t be forgotten. Jeb is nothing more than a white Obama.

Damn fool. Big time. Just like Daddy Bush and Brother “W”.

Maybe like brother "W." But the older Bush--for all his ideological flaws, was a man of intelligence. I am not excusing the ideological flaws, but seriously doubt that he would ever make as stupid a blunder as this.

In my estimation, this remark demonstrates a thoroughly slip-shod method of analysis--if not outright stupidity. It is the result of counting on a political organization & aura that his father--and perhaps even his grandfather, the Liberal Republican Senator Prescott Bush--built, which made him too lazy to do any serious analysis.

In any event, if he decides to run, Conservatives should run clips of this remark, with actual clips of other data from the 1960s, in the campaign. We have been given fair warning of the potential candidate's actual competence, here.

[ The same Jeb Bush who gave a freedom and democracy medal to Hillary Clinton?

Thought so.

Somebody tell me this guy isn’t just another garden-variety political whore who would sell-out any American in one second. ]

I am telling you if Jeb loses the republican primary expect a Hillary/Jeb (Unity Oligarch) ticket...

I feel that these folks (Bush) are rubbing our noses in it.

They DON’T say they wanna be like the best Republican President in recent history - Ronald Reagan, ... no, he says he will govern like the ‘great’ LBJ. -KNOWING we despise what LBJ stood for. And I believe old Jeb knows that HE’LL get the nomination and we’ll HAVE to vote for him. Because he knows we won’t be voting for Hillary.

Yep, rubbing our noses in it. He’s in for a surprise.

While LBJ was undoubtedly a vile scumbag of epic proportions, the kenyan much worse, much more vile.

[ Because the GOP Establishment is the new wing of the Democratic Party? ]

Someone ought to tell the Repuclican Establishment that the old phrase “If you can’t beat them, join them” only works if the people you are fighting are not completely totally evil.

This guy keeps saying really dumb things the base is going to hate. Jeb is either working full time to sand bag his own run at the republican nomination, or...

He's going to run as a democrat.

I’ve got a Pen, and I will write in Sara Palin ot Ted Cruz before I will vote for a RINO establishment pick....

I already used my phone to tell the GOP I will no longer give my money to them and that I will give directly to candidates.

On an ideological level yes, on a personal level, LBJ is tough to beat in terms of sheer crudeness, foul language, sexual appetite, graft, election stealing, corruption, bullying, habits, and style and just basic personality and morals.
