I've been in the VA system through several administrations and the care has been top notch regardless of the occupant in the WH.

I understand there are many here with a visceral hatred of this administration which is deserved, however attacking the VA is simply wrong in my opinion.

I have zero confidence that any politician can make this fine system any better but I am 100% sure that if it becomes yet another political football it will become much worse.

Vets need to stand up for Vets, there is a problem in some facilities, and it needs to be fixed.

But I don't fall for the rhetoric of the idiot politician, they don't have the best interests of the Veteran in mind. It is about them and their reelection and I don't give a sh*t who anyone on this board supports because the fact is, the politicians whether Dim, GOPe or Tea Party are going to sell the Vets out.

I am in the VA system myself. I want to know why my physicals have been cut down to one a year, eighteen months ago, from two a year. I also want to know why they started to scan my Medicare Card when I fall under full reimbursement.

Dental story with VA.
Care has been excellent. Equipment state-of-the art. But..

I paid for my implant. Then decided to have VA do the crown.

First visit to VA dentist was August 30, 2013. They imaged/x-rayed my teeth.

Next appointment with VA dentist was November 26, 2013. Complete dental exam.

Next appointment with VA dentist was February 11, 2014. They measured implant and did a root canal on adjacent tooth. Installed temporary crowns.

Next VA appointment was May 14, 2014. They measured and made molds for permanent crowns. Installed new temporaries.

Next appointment with VA dentist is in September. Hopefully I’ll get crowns.

This money saving adventure will have taken over a year. My regular dentist told me he would take two weeks.

The problem appears to be not enough doctors. Doctors cost money. Blame Obama and Congress.
